    My Progress Pics

I'm not taking steroids but I found this forum a while ago when I was researching steroids to see whether or not I would do them. I didn't end up doing them (couldn't even get them), but I found everyone on here very knowledgable and extremely helpful, something I haven't found on other body building forums. So I hope you don't mind that I post my progress on here.

I have been seriously lifting again the last month and I wanted to post up my progress so far, and hopefully in another month I'll be able to post up some more progress pictures. I've been taking a lot of pics to keep myself motivated.

So far I have gone from 78.5kg to 82kg in 1 month of lifting. So I've gained 3.5kg (7.7lbs). I really don't think I've gained any fat but you can take a look at the pics and tell me what you think.

I think my gains are mainly due to muscle memory from last time I was a similar weight. My strength increase has been awesome. I've gone from a max of 70kg (154lbs) bench to a 2 rep max of 90kg (198lbs). My bicep curls have gone from 5 reps at 18kg (40lbs) each arm to 25kg (55lbs). Same for my shoulder press. So I'm really happy with my results so far.

Also my body type is ectomorph, and I'm 6ft 1.5".

I know I have a lot more work to do, but here's the pictures so far.

1st two pics is no flexing. 2nd two pics is flexing. Before and after 1 month.

the only difference less light in the progress pics so he looks more define. just a optical illusion

The 1 month progress pics are on the right. And they have more light than the ones on the left. So if anything I should look more defined in the before pictures. In the flexing pics you can see my abs better in the before pic, but that's because I'm kind of flexing my abs different, and the shadow allows you to see more definition.

It is kind of hard to show a small 7.7 lbs increase in pics over the net. But it's easy to see the increase in my shoulders, especially where I've got an arrow pointing to in the flexing pics.

I'll just have to go and gain some more so it's easier to see my gains in pics over the net =) But I'm still kind of happy with the way I'm going. Anyway thanks for the encouragment.

I'll be posting more pics up each month to keep me on track.

But here's another pic just to show that I have gained, even just flexing a bit in the 2nd pic you can see what I mean about my shoulders growing. Flexing before never had my shoulders shoot out like that.

I think you are a bit judgmental. There is an obvious difference in the neck, shoulders and back!

nice job there bro. could see a big change in the second pics

  14. #14
    Very nice!

I know it hasn't been a month yet, so I'll still leave more pics until later. I just wanted to do a quick update because damn I'm seeing good results. Today I weighed in at 82.9kg (182.7lbs)! I started at 78.5kg (173lbs). So that's just under 10lbs gain in a month and a half. And I'm really not seeing any fat gain at all. My arms have gone from 14.5" to 15.7". You can really see a difference in the new pics I've been taking each week now. We should be able to see a very nice change when I post up my 2 months pics in a couple weeks.

I'm very happy to be seeing results, so many times I've tried to gain and failed, but I seem to have finally worked out exactly what my body needs.

Looking good mate! what sort of diet you running?

  17. #17
People are probably going to hate my diet. But it's really working for me.

I'm a uni student so I'm poor so keep that in mind with my diet.

    I eat 3 meals a day.

Breakfast is usually 2 eggs and bacon with cheese and butter in a toasted sandwich.

Lunch is usually a chocolate milk drink 600ml with something from the bakery. Or maybe just leftovers from the night before.

Dinner always involves some sort of meat. My gf cooks me up some decent meals with veggies and everything.

But the thing that is helping me gain is all the powdered milk I've been having in shakes. I can't afford protein powder. So I've just been buying full cream milk powder. I've been making my shakes up with half milk and half milk powder (I go through 1kg of milk powder a week that's 2.2lbs). I take 2 shakes a day. I probably get about 90-100 grams of fat from both of them together. And about the same in protein. Doesn't sound good does it? But I really need the fat, I just have such a quick metabolism.

I'll attach a pic from last night, so that you can see that I'm still lean. Because I know with that diet it probably sounds like I'm putting on a lot of fat.

That is some ass kickin progress bro! If you can, buy a lot of canned tuna, high protein, good source of fat, and lean. Whenever you can, up your meals to at least 4 to see how that works for you. As you get bigger, you'll need to eat more to keep progressing and your meals (if you only eat 3x per day) will get damn big. Again, if it isn't too inconvenient for you try 5 meals a day, that way your blood sugar won't spike and you'll have sustained energy. Also it will help a lot with study. Good luck and look forward to seeing more great results.

here you can tell you put on some size

    Thanks guys.

And as for the low pants, lol sorry about that.

As for the meals, I think you're right. I will have to start eating bigger as I get bigger and lift heavier.

I pushed myself too hard the other day with a huge ride and weights and early mornings, so now I have a cold. But I should be over it in a day or 2. Hopefully I won't be sick too long, I need to get back to lifting so I can show some good gains for when I take my 2 months progress pics.

u need to clean up the diet! ahhhh! made me cringe when i read it, go to the diet section and ull find a descent begginers diet to bulk you up quicker. good luck

  23. #23
I don't want to talk about diet. It always turns into a big argument because I have never had a clean diet work for me. The only times I've ever gained is when I had a very high fat intake. And I've always done that with lots of milk.

Without a high fat diet I fell down to 167lbs (76kg).

With a high fat diet I am up to 185lbs (84kg).

I'll be posting up my 2 months pics today or tomorrow.

I had my first injury last night. I was doing shoulder presses and I lowered the weights too quickly and kinda bounced them at the bottom of the lift, which then tore the muscle between my shoulder blades. And then over night my upper back muscles clamped up.

It didn't hurt too much last night, but this morning I couldn't even move enough to dress myself. So I went to the hospital, but they said just take some anti-inflamatory pain relief drugs and start to slowly stretch my neck tomorrow (can't move it at all right now) and in 3 days or so I should be fine.

Guess I'll be more careful with that exercise next time.

Hope the injuries pan out safely.

Here's my 2 month progress pics. I was up to around 184lbs a couple weeks ago, but then I got a cold for a week or two and my weight dropped to around 181lbs. But I think most of that was body fat. Now I'm just hoping this back injury heals quick so I don't lose any more of my gains.

Good work, Ur arms are looking good. advice: Start focusing a bit more on your chest, focus on incline and flies and you'll see huge improvements. Good luck.

  31. #31
I'm going to be adding another meal in each day.

And I agree about my chest. But I've been focussing on my chest already. It's just a body part that is hard to get bigger for me. But my chest is growing slowly. I can bench 200lbs reasonably easy for 3 reps now, that's up from 143lbs.

hey bro, don't wanna critique the diet, but just wanted to say that have you looked into Body Fortress Whey at Walmart? its like 16 bucks for over 2lbs! Thats gotta be about as cheap as the milk! If you could keep whats working for you with the diet and ADD another shake of good protein, I think it could help! Their whey also includes BCAAs too.
Anyway, good to see you are working hard and definantly getting results! keep it up

  33. #33
Unfortunately in Australia we don't have Walmart. But I'm thinking that maybe I can add another shake with skim milk powder, so I get the extra protein but not the extra fat.

Back is feeling almost 100% again after the injury. So I've got high hopes now for getting some good gains by next month.

And on a random side note, my chest is now big enough that when I run down the stairs at my place it jiggles. lol it's a really strange feeling having your chest bouncing around.
