    First TRT Blast

    42yr old
    14% BF Checked today
    200lbs
    Workout history about 20+ years
Some heavy weight, a lot of cardio and endurance related. Lots of volume sets
I have been eating clean and will continue. (Even though I am getting sick of chicken!)
    55% protein
    35% carbs
    10% fat
Thats what seems to work best for me. Sometimes I up the carbs if i am feeling low energy.

I have been on 200mg of Test C split into 2 injections a week.
    .5 anastrozole every 3.5 days
250 mcg of HCG every 3.5 days

I am now starting a 12 week Test C blast (first injection today)
500 mg a week split every 3.5 days
.5 anastrozole every 3.5 days (will adjust if needed)
250 mcg of HCG every 3.5 days

I will increase diet by 500 calories of my TDEE, roughly around 3000 calories daily.

First pin was no problem. Quads.
This is not pharm. grade and its 250mg. per ml. A little thicker oil than what I was used to and twice the amount. Absolutely no problem though. Its funny, when I started this I was not a fan of needles to say the least. Now I freakishly look forward to it.

If you're only taking your adex two times per week then take it 24hrs after injection. It will help time the peak better and be more effective for you. Preference would be .25 EOD for more consistency if possible. Good luck and be patient. It'll take 4-5 weeks to really kick in.

And yes, you look forward to the injections as you know the positive result they give!

Good luck will this. Be safe, stay healthy.

I had read where you mentioned that before and started doing that about a week ago. Good advice. I have some liquid Adex and will switch to EOD if I start feeling E2 affecting me adversely. I already feel pretty good from the TRT dose. I was thinking it may be a little sooner that 4-5 weeks for full effects since I already had decent levels of Test in my blood.

Hopefully it does hit you quicker. Just depends on metabolism. Now's the time to make sure nutrition and training are on point!

Workout went well today. Using the mental edge of the increased injection. I'll take whatever edge I can get. I could only get 2200 calories yesterday, but made it to 3500 calories (clean) today. It was tough though.

Good cardio yesterday and this morning. Ate well on Saturday 3498 calories 46/40/14. If I can stay on the increased food intake all will be good. I feel a lot more energy with the increased food after being low carb for so long. Want to go lift today, but will stick to my schedule. Hopefully the meetings I have today will not derail my diet. Second blast injections of 250mg of Test C later today.

Nuts kinda hurt today. I'm using 250mcg HCG . Maybe I will move it up a little. Not sure if its related, but not fond my boys being sore.

Do you realize 250mcg of HCG only equals 2.5 IU's. You should be injecting 250 IU's.....

    Is your math correct?

haha...no I meant 250 IU's. I was reading about something else and just transferred the measurement over.

Yesterday was Chest day (like everyone else). I felt pretty strong and did very high rep lifts. Five exercises, four sets each. Completely spent at the end of the workout and a little sore this morning. Feels good. I didn't do cardio because of time restrictions and I was pooped. I didn't get 3000 calories because of meetings, I ended up with 2400 calories but did manage to get 220 grams of protein.

Third pin was yesterday and everything seems fine. I don't feel any "different " yet, but using the mental edge. Diet still doing well regardless of the endless meeting and so forth that I have day and night. Lots of chicken and veggies!

I did not do cardio yesterday but did have a decent lifting day Wednesday and Thursday. Nothing spectacular, but steady progress. I am not using any particular lifting style or rep scheme. It changes every workout. High rep, low rep, volume, heavy..etc.

Two weeks in! My 4th pin was today....nice jab in the right thigh with a 1.5". Stings a little more than my TRT dose, but not a big deal at all. More sensitive now...maybe my E2 is up...haha.

Friday was leg day and I went heavy on Squats and hack squats and then some high rep sets at the end. Didn't seem like much at the time, but was a little sore yesterday.

Feeling a bit aggressive today..hoping to carry that over into the gym tomorrow. Eating was on track all through the week, even watching football!
I have felt a little tired these last two afternoons, almost to the point I needed a nap. Wondering about the Estrogen levels and Hemocrit levels. Anxious to get to a lab and get a test in two weeks. Tempted to go this week, but probably to early.

    Thanks Buster Brown...

I went in to the gym today with lots of aggression and really went 100%. I am totally exhausted and just want to crash. Excellent workout! Chest and Shoulders, with almost no rest between sets. Struggling to eat enough for a proper recovery. Did my .25mg of Anastrozole and 5 gr of Creatine and and handful of vitamins. Now for some quality rest.

    Boom!

Great workouts over the last couple of days and feeling good. Definitely feeling more alpha and looking a little more vascular. I was already showing more vascularity from the TRT, but this is kicking it up a little bit. Did my 5th pin yesterday so I am in my 3rd week. Still a little early to really be feeling it yet, but I think it is kicking in a little quicker because of the TRT dose I was already on.

I have also started up the T3 with a low dose of Clen . I tried clen not that long ago and was not a fan of the sides. The muscle cramps hampered my workouts and the jitters sucked. I decided to try a low dose since I am sensitive to it. Dosing at 30mcg daily with the T3 at 50mcg. I will continue with the Creatine and handful of vitamins thoughout the cycle.

Maybe dropping the creatine would aid you in shedding a little water weight and help with vascularity. I typically only use creatine when I am off-cycle so that I retain a little water weight to help avoid injury. Maybe start the T3 @ 25 mcgs.

I've been using the T3 for about 5 days and just started adding in the clen . No side effects from the T3 at all and I am at 50mcg. I get shitty sides on clen if I go over 60mcg so I will keep it low.

I use creatine almost year round unless I just run out and forget to get more, then I will lay off for a month. To be honest, I don't know if it does any good or not, but I have read so much about added endurance and so forth, I'm not willing it give it up.

6th pin and three weeks deep.

Experiencing a little congestion and sniffles over the last few days. Probably just Allergies, but it is having an effect on my cardio. I may have been infected with a cold from some of the little germ factories that are running around my house calling me Daddy.

Feeling pretty good otherwise. Only problem that I see right now is I am not eating enough. I am getting around 2500-2800 calories and really need to be around 3500. I am seeing a change in body comp which isn't all bad. Losing more BF% is always good, but not really adding any slabs of muscle. strength is still ok, but I haven't lifted heavy in a while. Most of it has been heavy rep and volume.

    Enjoying your thread.

Question: when you first went on trt did your body comp change at all? If so, how?

    It did.

After a little over a month I started noticing my BF% dropping and my veins began popping in my forearms again. Its hard to say it is solely because of the TRT because I had began a lot harder workout regimen and diet at the same time. I did notice more energy and focus during workouts and i am sure that helped some as well.

I have not been on TRT long enough to realize the full potential of it yet. From what I understand, it will continue to get better for a period of time. Its a long term adjustment. I plan to use it to my advantage as long as I can.

    Off to a conditioning run!

I would still lose the creatine if taking T3, but that is just me. I think creatine has its place but while on cycle, I just don't see the added benefit. Just my .02 cents. Keep up the good work.

Shoulder day today, Chest was yesterday.

Switching things around a little this week. I don't usually put chest and shoulders next to each other, but sometimes changing things around works.

Feeling good today. Not affected as much from my cold or allergies as last week. Stress is my biggest factor right now. Lots and lots of stress. I have quit taking the Clen (again) because I just don't like the feeling. I feel like I have elevated BP and just generally odd feeling. I am also cycling down on the T3 (tapering down). I think I can accomplish more with better cardio and diet. I just don't like playing with my heart rate, body temp and BP. Doesn't seem healthy.

Yesterday was strong in the gym, although very high rep. Today will be the same high rep sets of 40-50. Will switch to 5-10 reps, heavy weight next week. High reps definitely brings the burn. Makes me scream like a little girl on the last 10 reps.

    7th pin yesterday.

Workout was strong. Rep range was 8 to 10 so I was able to gauge my strength a little bit better. I definitely felt stronger and my numbers were up from normal. I kept aggression and energy throughout the workout finished strong but completely spent.

Working hard on eating more and that has probably helped more than anything. I know AAS will do a lot for you, however, I don't look at it as a magic solution. I look at it as a reason to worker harder on nutrition, rest and exercise to see better results. Struggling to hit the 3200-3500 calories of clean food is tough for me. I can't seem to get hungry enough. I am setting an alarm to remind myself to eat. Its easy to forget when your busy.

    LEG DAY!

    Not too bad.
Supersets Leg ext. and lying leg curls 40/30/20/20
    Hack Squats 20/15/15/12/10/
    Leg Press 20/15/15/12/10/8/6
    Lunges 15/15/15/15
    Body weight squats 50/40/30/20

Did pretty decent amount of weight on the lower reps, but feeling pretty fatigued by that point. Time to suck down a some protein and prepare my food for the day. Feeling pretty good, but wish I had pushed harder in the gym. Will have to hit some arms tomorrow.

    High Rep arm day.

Since I never really worked arms out very much I have noticed a general lack of endurance in them. They fatigue a lot quicker that they should so I did some focus work today. Seeing improvements in rep quanity and strength. Not a bad day. Got a pretty hard pump.

Enjoying the log, keep up the good work. I'm on TRT and I enjoy reading about what members are doing at the next level. 41 years old here, my test RX is half yours but my bodyfat is quite higher. When I get down to a respectable number to me, I may look into doing what you are.

Just letting you know, though all aren't commenting, there are several of us that are enjoying it.

    Thanks for the encouragement Brett,

I read lots of logs and threads before I even registered, so I know what you are saying. I am trying to be as accurate and descriptive as possible for guys that are thinking about jumping on board. I know it helped me. Hopefully this cycle log will give some insight.

Ate like crap today btw. Aggravated by that. Each day is important and I hate to lose one to bad nutrition.

    9th pin today=starting of 5th week

I have been leaning on the mental edge of being on cycle. Kind of like a placebo effect. Now I am ready to actually start FEELING the testosterone . Pinned my Glute for something different today. Man was that easy. Guess I will begin rotating between Glutes and Quads from now on.

I've been cooking my food for the next few days this morning to make sure my nutrition is ramped up. Setting up BW for next week to see where I am at.

    Felt strong today.

Been eating a good bit more over the last two days and felt big, strong and aggressive at the gym. Lifted bigger number and had a good energy all the way to the end. Afterwards, I could barely lift arms up to touch the top of my head. Good workout!

I hope this is the AAS kicking in and not some mental mind game. I'll take mental games for a while, but now I'm ready to ride the train. I am looking a bit bigger, but the measuring tape says I'm still the same. I think I am still seeing some body recomp. A lot more veiny and getting some good shape to my muscle. Waist is shrinking a tad bit too. All in all, good day.

Workouts are still progressing forward. Getting stronger, but not in leaps and bounds, just progressively.

My energy, strength and focus is still heavily dependent on my diet, but my aggression is up. Last couple of days have been crappy for diet. Slammed with meetings and training with little time for proper diet or food timing. On the upside, I haven't missed any workouts, so at least I am consistent there.

Looking in the mirror, I am noticing a lot better shape to my body. I am showing a little growth on quads, calves, shoulders and back on the measuring tape. I have picked up about 4 pounds, so I think most of my changes have been recomp. I look bigger due to the improved shape and cut. I am noticing some of the weight showing up in bloat in my gut, but that may be due the crappy high sodium diet the last couple of days. I felt like a bloated cow yesterday. I am going to lean down the diet a little this week and when I feel more in line I will slowly increase the calories again.

So I was reading on some other forums....

I have to take 200mg a week to get to normal levels and that is pharm grade. I am now taking 500mg of UGL grade, only 300mg more of a grade that is probably lower than "normal".

Based on that, I am thinking I should up my amount to 600-700mg to see if I see anything. I am thinking that it is quite possible the stuff I got is underdosed anyway.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I went ahead and bumped in my TRT dose last night. So now I will be on 200mg of pharm grade test and 500mg of UGL. Lets see if that makes a difference. Fingers crossed.

I am exhausted! Good exhausted though.

I killed it with a sledgehammer today in the gym. Great workout....got 100% out of it. I hope to be good and sore tomorrow for all the hard work. I got crappy sleep and not the best nutrition, so I guess the gear really is doing something.

I was much stronger and had lasting endurance throughout the workout. The extra 100mg that I added to my last injection obviously hasn't hit home yet, but still felt strong. I will continue with the added 200mg a week however. I will have to be careful to not overdo it and get injured. I am doing a lot of pre-exhaust work before going heavy. This keeps me from going nuts, but still puts me in the right intensity zone for strength and hypertrophy. I am running a 15/12/10/8 rep scheme on most sets and 10/10/8/8 on others. Primarily supersetting with 1-2 minute rest between full sets. Switching it up some tomorrow...doing a leg day tomorrow AND friday.

    5 weeks behind me.

I am feeling some additional strength and seeing improvements in body comp. A lot more vascular and better muscle shape. I look bigger, but only my legs have actually grown in size. Getting better with the added calories to my diet.

I ate tortilla chips (real salty) the other day and felt like a bloated cow. I am having to really watch the sodium intake with this because I can instantly tell the difference in bloat. Drinking lots of water and eating lean and as often as possible. Hitting around 3200 calories with decent consistency now.

Pinned 350mg again on Wednesday night. 700mg a week now.

Holy Crap! I had way TOO MUCH sodium today.

Feel like a bloated whale awaiting the harpoon. Need to tighten up my diet. Been pretty good, but today was somewhat of an off day. Going to drink lots of water and chill out.

Strong day Friday and gaining some weight finally. Still leaning up.

Showing about 4 lbs gain and have some BF% loss. Lots of strength gains coming but hard to track because of the types of workouts I do. They are hardly every the same so its hard to measure lifts against each other.

The bad news. I landed a small contract that I am going to have to do for about 2 weeks. I have it set up so that I can still inject on scheduled dates, but workouts will not happen as I will be with my client on a constant basis and traveling in and out of the country. I considered ending the cycle, but this is going to happen from time to time and I will just have to live with it. I will do what I can with body weight exercise but not expecting much. I plan to reduce my calories and let the test work more as a cutting agent until I get back under some iron.

Got back for a day and knocked out a light workout. I felt really strong, but tried to keep it light since I need to stay in the work groove for another week. I have been doing push ups and other body weight exercises to keep my muscles primed. It has been very hard staying on diet, but I have done ok considering.

More updates in about a week I hope.
