    second cycle test e 500mg/week - updates

    Hi everyone!

I'm on 4th week on cycle, and I'm starting to feel the test. I've been ill during weeks 3 and 4 (allergy - hay fever) and because of that, the workouts were light.

But apart from that, pumps in the gym are great, strength is going up, mood is great, sex drive like a teen (I'm 39 y/o). So far so good, I haven't experienced sides. I took adex 0.5 eod and HCG 500 IU twice/week. Just in case, as a DHT blockers I'm using topical ketoconazole 2% in the scalp/face, omega 3, omega6 and green tea. I haven't experienced oily skin nor acne nor prostate issues.
    I've a clean diet, eat 5 meals a day, aprox: 3500 cals.

    Here you have some numbers:
    Weight
    -start: 84 kg
    -current: 86 kg.
    Shoulders width:
    -start: 20.25 inches
    -current: 20.75 inches

I noted that my voice is a bit deeper.

I just want to share my journey with other newbies, but also I would like to read some good advice from the experienced ones.
My cycle is planned to be 12 weeks in length, but I want to ask u if it is safe to extend it for 14 weeks. The thing is I'm considering to do just one long cycle a year, instead of two short cycles per year. What are your thoughts on this regard?

No real harm going 14 weeks, but 12 will be enough dude. Take 4 months off gear and run another one.

BTW, your arimidex dose is high, .25mg should be enough eod.

Thx. for the advice man! I've read a couple of studies about doing high dosages of test E for a couple of months without any issues (any serious).
Regarding to adex dosage I've based the amount according to some studies, the book Anabolics 10th ed., and other users opinions. (btw the book Anabolics recommends a higher dosage of adex at 500 mg. of test./week)
I think that 0.5 mg. eod is my sweet spot since I don't feel joint pain, fatigue, lack of strength, etc. My nipples are fine, water retention is minimal if there are any. My libido is great but isn't out of control, as it was when I was a teenager, which is great. The thing with libido is 50/50 in my case 50% hormonal and 50% physical , I mean I feel horny with any girl If I look good on the mirror, but I think that's normal isn't it?

I will pay attention to the signs of low/high estrogen in order to adjust adex dosage, but up to now 0.5 mg eod is my sweet spot.

Nothing wrong with extending the cycle as long as gains are continuing. That said, it's imperative you pull mid-cycle BW to make sure all is well and also to dial in your E2 dose. Normally like Small's noted, it would be to much for most guys. Never base E2 on how you feel as it may surprise you.

Hi kelkel, I'm glad to hear an advice from an HRT specialist.
Certanly I'll do blood test by week 6 or 7, that will be a snapshot of my current status. To be honest with you I'm more concerned about cholesterol (never had cholesterol issues before) rather than estrogen, but they are linked. Anyway, I feel awesome, I hope nothing happens behind the scenes.

Should I expect some values out of range, I mean other than testosterone ? For example DHT, PSA, E2, etc.

Well, cholesterol can always take a hit when AAS is added, some AAS more than others. If you have chol concerns consider Slo-Niacin as a supplement as well as Fish Oil and NAC. Re Slo Niacin:

Values out of range, sure. DHT will rise as testosterone increases which in turn could effect psa. Normally younger guys hold up just fine in this area though. You control your E2. Also always keep an eye on your CBC's and CMP's. Specifically your hematocrit (blood thickness) and your ALT/AST levels. Imho it's always prudent to give blood prior to a cycle and then again mid way through. Hope this helps!
