    Some BACK pics...

I don't often get the chance to check out how my back is coming along because my head doesn't turn all the way around just yet, and trying to get the right angle using the medicine cabinet mirror in the bathroom (you know you've done it) is a pain in the ass. So when my wife got curious about how she looks from behind and asked me to take a picture of her backside, i figured it would be a good opportunity to check out how my back is coming along, and seeing if those dumbell rows are paying off. I don't know the first thing about posing so dont flame me for bad form or whatever, it's just for kicks. Anyway, lemme know what ya think. I know I've still got a ways to go but I'm getting there.

Thanks brother, I'm still workin on it but it's good to see the progress I've made over the last year, trust me it's a HUGE improvement... last year my back was so bony you could see my spine! lol

my back routine is pretty simple, a lot of compound movements using freeweights if possible. It consists of lat pull-downs, bent-over dumbell rows, deadlifts, reverse flys and bent-over shrugs.

Lookin' pretty good. You definitely need to switch your bent-over db rows for bb rows, or at least alternate. I love dumbbell exercises but I seriously feel that bent-over db rows are not as effective as bent-over barbell rows.

Also, bent-over shrugs suck... I think they are supposed to target your middle traps but why do you care about your middle traps?

My is one monday Chins up//Barbell rowing//seated rowing//t-bar.
friday's Bb rowing//seated rowing//close grip lat pulldown// one arm rows (or tbar)

Works great for me (width less than thickness though)

That's what bent-over rows are for.

I like workin my middle traps... gives me the nice cut right down the middle of my back, but i guess it is a little redundant to do the shrugs AND rows. heres a random shot i just took of my front. I'm suprised I look as cut up as I do with the crap I've been eating lately, guess that means i can up the cals a bit.
