8lbs of Muscle in 2 Months (Natty)

    Hey folks,

It is indeed possible to achieve good gains for those who are natty. Here are the before pics that were taken about four months ago.

    Updated Pictures

On July 1st, I commited myself for 2 months to see what I could do with my physique. I do want to thank those who have shared their wisdom pertaining to PWO nutrition and the importance of intaking plenty of carbs for growth. Your insights enabled me to establish a regimen that got me where I am today.

    Grace and peace,
    Mavsluva

I wanted to throw in this info earlier in my original post, but did not have time. I was right around 160lbs on July 1st and weight between 168-169lbs as of today. My plan is to continue to pack on the mass as I'll probably loosen up on my diet a bit as summer comes to a close (fewer trips to the lake). I will continue to slowly increase my daily caloric intake for the entire month of September. My goal is to come in right around 175lbs by October 1st. That'll be about 15 total pounds of weight in 3 months with about 10-12 of those pounds being lean muscle mass. Oh yeah, my strength finally shot up better than it ever has. I went from benching about 205 X 5 to now doing about 245 X 5. Pretty exciting for a skinny dude like me, even though I don't place much emphasis on strength.

The only supplements that I am taking at this time is my daily multivitamin, Optimum Nutrition's CGT (Creatine, Gluatmine and Taurine), Dymatize's Elite Whey Protein Isolate, Prolab's Lean Mass Matrix MRP's, Sci-Fit's 100% Complex Carbs (Maltodextrin), AST's DGC (Dextrose), NOW's Arginine tablets, and some extra vitamin C and calcium. My post-workout shake consists of (2) scoops of the Dymatize Elite Whey with 60 grams of Maltodextrin and 20 grams of Dextrose. One thing that I will do in the month of September is incorporate more whole foods into my diet. I probably used too many synthetic foods (whey and MRP's) in my daily regimen, but the results came out pretty good.

    Thanks to all,
    Mavsluva

    Great job!

    Hey man,

You've definitely put in some hard work. Good vascularity in the upper chest/anterior delts.

    Two questions...
    1) Have you ever tried BSN's NO-Xplode or MuscleTech Anator p-70 as a pre-workout drink?
    2) You mentioned your weight...what is your height?

Again, great job. Keep it up bro!

    Thanks for the kind words.

    Answers to your questions:
    1. Neither. I use (2) Prolab Caffeine Tablets, (1) serving of Optimum Nutrition's CGT and (1) serving of NOW's L-Arginine about 20 minutes prior to working out.
    2. My height is 5'8.

    Good luck to you bro!

Can I tell you this. and please do not take it as a flame becuase it is not intended to be. but it is impossible to gain 2 lbs of muscle in 2 weeks, especially without juice. yes you gained 8 lbs but its not 8 lbs of pure muscle, some fat, some water. but keep up the good work it all will add up. I gain 30lbs per year, but only 10lbs is actually muscle, the other 10lbs is water and 10 lbs of fat. its only natural to gain fat and water along with muscle. no one can put on just 100% pure muscle, again this is not a flame, just reality.

I completely understand your statements. You look great by the way!

    Here was my hypothesis:

    July 1st: 160lbs at "X" BF%
    September 3rd: 168lbs at "X - 2" BF%

I am actually leaner now than I was on July 1st, so I label this two month phase to be a total success. Also, history and trends showed that my cancer was supposed to defeat me, but the statistics don't always have the final say.

I've been on almost zero carb for a few months now, sure i am so tired i cant move sometimes but at least i'm leaner than ever.

Question: Does it look like I need a zero carb diet to help assist me in leaning out? I am in the middle of a 2 month lean bulk diet and I'm about as lean and vascular as I can be. Premium performance and results requires premium fuel, in the form of fat, protein and carbs.

If you're on a zero carb diet and have been for a few months now, then you're obviously cutting. Good luck with that. (P.S. - Your body hates you!)
