I'm mainly posting because I have been asked for pics but critique away.
    I am 20yo 6'2" at 246lbs as of 10.14.06
    Not sure on my BF%

I can move some pretty good weight for my size

    Flat bench with d-bells: 130lbs d-bells for 1 set of 8
    Incline bench with d-bells: 105lbs d-bells for 1 set of 8
    Military press: 105lbs d-bells for 1 set of 8
    Shrugs: 405lbs for 1 set of 7
Leg press: 1,200lbs for 1 set of 8 (deep)
    Arm curls: 65lbs d-bells for 1 set of 8

The camera takes shitty pics, as you can't see any striations etc...my traps/shoulder aren't bad sized but hell is what they are going to get!! Ya, trying to throw on as much mass as possible
I also don't know how to pose properly...can't flex the proper muscles when I want

I'd bet you put these up with your ego and not with proper form.

Eitherway from the pics it looks like your BF is a bit high and you're lacking a good core and muscular development.

I'd say lose some of the BF and get yourself under 10% so you can see your weak areas and then start working from there.

    Props on posting pics.

Yes, I agree about being under 10%. I am not too concerned about that right now as its almost winter (think I'm sitting between 13-14%BF) but I will cut right before spring. Thanks for the honesty

I couldnt agree more with keeping bf under control, I have always been heavier (14-17%bf) now that I am lean I plan on keeping it that way, things are much easier. When I bulk up again I will not let myself get above 12% that way when you want to cut it will be much easier and most of all you will lose less muscle mass because you wont have to diet as long.

You have posted several times virtually flaming some members for using AAS too early when, IMO, you aren't ready for them yourself. Stop using steroids and stop giving advice about them...

no offense bro but you look like you just started working out today. I cant even tell you hit weights. You need to follow a very nice lean diet plan as well as 45mins cardio in the a.m at 65% of your maximum heart rate 5 days a week. Then once you make some real progress take soem pics for us to keep us updated.

    You need work overall.

i was thinking the same but not as angry. the diet forum advice is where i was thinking.

The camera takes shitty pics, as you can't see any striations
i dont think the muscle is dense or mature enough to have lines in it yet.

Thanks for the honesty everyone. How do you guys stay below 12% while bulking? I'm eating a little under 4,000 cals and my diet is very clean.

I forgot about that! There was this member that posted yesterday, I think, and had a build that was WAY better than his and he tore him apart. I really wasn't trying to flame him (I'm very sorry audis) but come on! Your camera doesn't show your "striations" because you don't have any...

I think this was the post:

that comment wasnt right audis. Take your own advice bro. Look at your # of posts. I suggest instead of spending so much time in the whore thread get your fat ass over to the diet forums.

If you are below 12% you aren't bulking!

I am tall also and have VERY long arms (my hands touch my knees when standing) and legs so I know how hard it is to put on mass. If you are really eating 4k calories a day then you need to adjust your macros. Less carbs and more protein/fat would be my advice. Whole foods, drop your shakes (I don't know if you are drinking any). Your BF% isn't that low so I wouldn't go crazy but you can do it, man. It isn't going to happen in weeks or even months but it WILL happen.

    Most importantly, NO MORE STEROIDS.

i eat at maintenance calories with higher calorie days mixed in 1 to 2 days a week. 1 day is a 300 calorie increase and the other is a cheat day - my first 5 meals are all normal macros, dinner and dessert are where i cheat. i keep cardio year round at 30 to 45 minutes 5 to 6 days a week. i currently carb cycle. most people dont realize they are eating too many calories in their diet. i can still maintain my weight at bw x 10 calories per day.

you also lack alot of development and depth so dieting down may not be a good idea for a while if you are serious about adding mass.

If you're getting fat off of 4k calories.. and you're diet is 'clean'.. Maybe 4k is too high for your current LBM. Maybe you need to add cardio to your regime.. Maybe you need to cycle calories.

    Maybe..maybe... The 'maybe's are infinite.

Actually.. dieting down might be to his benefit... as opposed to blindly adding bodyweight.

I mean.. he doesn't have to be Draconian in his approach to dieting.. but it would serve him better to get lean...assess himself..and plot his goals from that point.

i wasnt thinking in those terms really. i was thinking at possibly, if this is going to be life time thing, of plotting my calories at my harris benedict recommendation weight and move from there every 2 weeks in the preferred direction. if he's still high in bf start stripping 300 calories every two weeks and vice versa. just an idea. if this is a lifetime investment is how im speaking. its not hard to live this lifestyle so if i were changing forever i would go slow and really learn my body, like i did.

Ditto on that, I ALWAYS thought that green veggies were a must in a cutter. I got tired of eating them and just quit. My progress was just as good if not better......

A little voice in the back of my head always tells me “you need to eat your veggies, they are healthy,” so I obey.

Audis, you get my respect for posting your pics. I understand you're a big guy, but from the back, your waist/hip line looks almost as wide as your shoulders and bodyfat seems to be in the upper teens. I think if you keep at the weights seriously for a year and get your diet worked out, you'd look a lot better. Definitely take a microscope to your diet. The biggest things you got going for you are your age and strength. At that age, you can make some pretty good gains and changes to your physique. Good luck bro!

I'm serious. I don't like veggies..and i'm impartial to fruits. I may gorge myself on fruits if i have a fruit craving.. but other than that... i don't consume 'em regularly. Ditto on Veggies... Great addition to a stir fry... but salads? Bah.

Don't get me wrong.. i love to cook..and try new vegs out everytime i see 'em in the produce section.

    But as a mainstay? *thumbsdown*
