Update Pics
Hiya guys,, deffinetly didn't have a good week this week and it showed in my physique. I felt really tired and not with it, I didnt eat well and my diet was all over the place, and I only drank on average, 3 litres of water a day than the usual 5 litres. Aweek to forget forsure.
My physique was also really flat, I think this was because I droped more carbs this week. Next week my up it abit more along with my water intake and see how I look.
I said I would keep you posted up until the show so here's somemore pics, I will take some leg pics today and post them tonight.
Thanks guys.Last edited by sbigpecs; 06-09-2007 at 05:43 AM.

I have managed to drop 3 pounds though, but it hasn't really shown in my physique, just my face has gotten slimmer.
Butfore I forget can anyone tell me wether lunges me better detail in the front of my quads. I dont really do them that often, so just asking?
Thanks

lookin large.
lets see the legs.
as far as lunges, I'd stick to squats and maybe superset with lunges every once in a while. I never did them when I was bodybuilding

You look great bro, VERY thick. Arms are phenomenal. How long 'till show time?
I would just stick to your heavy compound movements for quads and then once your are 3-4 weeks out, start adding in 1-2 sets of leg extensions every other day or so for quad detail, make sure you are really squeezing them when doing it.

Delts/arms/back are huge.

looking great IMO!! I found that heavy compound moves (squats, front squats) combined with cardio on the stepper helped keep the mass but add some wicked detail. I cant say enough good things about the stepper for adding quad detail. You can also change the position of your body slightly while stepping and really feel it working your glutes and hams too.

Secondly, i think you are SPOT-ON for 10 weeks out.
Hell you're closer than some people are 4-6 weeks out.
I'm saying this, not to get you complacent.. but to acknowledge that your mind's in the right place.
In response to your question about lunges.. i think they're an important exercise... but their effects can be quantified per se.
i.e. i can't give you a numerical formulae for their impact on the size of yoru quads.. but i can say that they, if done properly, will increase the quality of your legs as a whole.
We that compete need more than just mass.
We need quality tie-ins between muscles.
Lunges will give you that tie in between the glutes and hams... between the hams and adductors..and they'll emphasize the tear drop as well.
This places them higher, by cumulative measure, than front squats imo..with regard to detail work.
I'd toss 'em in.. 1-2 sets of walking lunges at the end of your leg routine.
Keep up the good work.

p.s. I replied to your PM. If you have anymore questions hit me up.
