Yes, he came from a powerlifting background, from all the details regarding his training that we went over, it was more like a torture room than a gym. Volume training beyond belief, 10 minute negative curls, ducktaped hands to the lat pull down machine, 30 minute sets, so unconventional and goes against every piece of literature I've ever read, but hell cant argue with his physique. As for being a great source of motivation he definately is i just wish i had some of his blood flowing through my veins.
