    Returning

    Hey everyone,

This is my first post but i have been reading these forums for the better of 3 years. The piece of advice i have seen given most during my perusing (besides proper dieting techniques being more important than the actual traning) was to be patient and collect as much data as possible in regards to your training, dieting, and YOUR body. After careful deliberation I have decided this would be the perfect time for me to do my first cycle as i have reached 24 years of age and have much less to do this coming spring compared to springs in my previous years in which ive had class/research/work. This spring all i have to worry about is work because i dont have to start med school until fall. This means i have tons of time to focus on training and dieting. I have been actively training for the past 2 years (though not dieting strictly since thanksgiving as im sure you will note in the pictures below, but i am happy with my base). Since I am pretty much starting back at square one , i figured id keep a log of my progress for those who might find it interesting. Now that the holidays have passed and i have gotten my eating in I am more than mentally prepared to be dedicated to bringing Maximum Effort to my training program. Ill try to post a pic of front back and legs.

p.s.-these pictures are from 2 weeks ago. im currently on week 1 of cycle. Ill be posting new pictures every 3-4 weeks. Please feel free to ask any questions or provide any suggestions/advice; both will be appreciated.

    welcome.

well, you sound set on starting your cycle, but I'm pretty sure alot of ppl will be telling you that you can still gain alot naturally.

derek, your probably right. I have had more mass on me without, so i know i still have some room for growth. Cycling at this current time is optimal for me timetable-wise as well as for the mental preparation i have put in as far as organizing my meal menu/time, training routine/scheduling, and focus. Thank you for your reply.

    not flaming you at all.
seems to me though alot of people take steriods with out even trying to train for a while. everyone one wants the quick fix!!!!

id have 2 agree with you. i was expecting some flames since i was posting pics of myself 2 months after serious dieting/training, i knew i was opening myself to flames by posting pics of myself with high bf%, kinda was my intention though. Guess im trying to up the dramatic effect of my b4 and afters. I can understand the quick fix quip based purely off my pictures. Its my hope that in a few months the dedication i put into training and dieting will assuage the skeptics and turn there skepticism into respect. Again thank you for feedback.

So you say , and i quote " I am pretty much starting back at square one " and you feel you should start off square one with a cycle

    Bad call.

You have a good base. All you need is diet. Just out of curiously , since you are going to do the cycle regardless of how many times we tell you not to, what are you taking ? and what is your current goal ?

I suppose I was inaccurate when describing what i meant by square one. I meant I was starting at square one with dieting. I have been hitting the gym 5-6 days a week for 2 years. I lost 60 pounds going from 230 lbs. - 170 lbs in a year (january 2007- january2008) by dieting and doing cardio most days of the week with minumum 3 days lifting. After I had slimmed up i had decided to add some muscle and started a more rigorous weight lifting regimen. That allowed me to put on about 20 more pds of muscle putting me at 190 right before thanksgiving 2008. I had planned on stopping dieting and decided to enjoy the food for the holidays after 2 years transforming my body (kind of just needed the break from dieting mentally + i knew that after the holidays i wanted to get back into training at a higher level). I have still been lifting 4 days a week since thanksgiving just not doing the cardio and dieting which obviously has taken a huge toll on my bf% as you can see in the pictures (which i am 200 lbs in), but since i started the cycle ive started my diet along with lifting 4-5 days a week and running first thing in the morning for an hour before eating, and my body is kicking back into shape. Thank you for the compliment on the base, your definitely right that diet will go a long way, i have seen it first hand.

"since you are going to do the cycle regardless of how many times we tell you not to, what are you taking ? "

The reason I'm on here posting is to get first hand advice; so if a lot of knowledagable people are advising against, I'd say id be quite foolish to ignore the warnings, so your heeds do not go unnoticed and are appreciated. I am not intractable on the matter of cycling. I have been reading these forums for a considerable amount of time, taking the research quite seriously, i first wanted to cycle when i was 18 (started lifting at 15 because i played football, competed in track and field, and wrestled) but knew that i was too young then, started flirting with the idea that i wasn't too young anymore at 21 (at which point I started doing research and introduced myself to this website) and noticed that one of the mostt common thread subjects was that over-ambitous people were taking cycles when they werent prepared base-wise, diet-wise, training-wise, lifestyle-wise, and most importantly imo mentally and were doing it as a quick fix. Most members advised against, which caused me to wait a few years to see if i'd still want/be able to. I have had much education on the human body as i have recently received a b.s in biology and have been admitted into med school in the fall of '09 so I am hoping my understanding of the human body and its workings will help me in this process. However i know my formal education is just a stepping stone in this process and is nowhere near as valuable as first-hand experience from this community can be, so once again i thank you for your interest and reply.
As for the cycle i am taking it is Test Enth(500mg/wk) Deca (400mg/wk) 12 Wk Cycle with standard pct.
My Current goal is to reach 13% bf and gain 20 pds of muscle, i have never cycled b4 so my goals are malleable, as i do not know how exactly my body will react. My bf as yesterday is 22% so i have a quite bit more running to do than i orignally had planned but i guess the before and afters will be that more dramatic. Btw im 5'6 i know i havent mentioned my height yet, figured that was important if you were trying to frame me.
