    gave in and posted

Ok my good bro's. I have been a member of this board for a while - mostly participating in the HRT forum. Just now got up enough courage to post some pics. I am 42, 5'11, my before pics are on #15 below, but i was a fat focker at over 250, and the after (today) are 208.

Have no idea of BF - thinking around 15-18. Want to drop another 15-20 pounds. Currently on 200/week test e for trt along with hcg and a little adex. The weight has come off in the last 5 months. Some cardio, no strength training, all low carb diet.

So, I know that diet is the key, willing to blast above the trt, and ready to hit it hard - not get huge, but bigger and more defined. Any suggestions and a bf estimate would be awesome.

    Thanks

Hey bro, you don't have to feel weird about posting pics here. There are alot of good peeps and nobody's gonna make fun of you, we're here to help and encourage eachother.

That said, you look better then 90% of 40+ year olds, so you should be proud! Nice calves, decent build going. I'd estimate bodyfat at 18%. No worries though, hit them weights, hit that cardio, and you'll shred up in no time!

Yea, if I ever decide to cycle again, I will make sure i'm at 10% first. I started last time around 14% and wasn't thrilled with the results.

I have not really hit it hard in over 24 years - so i think i might be able to get pretty large - guess time will tell.

It is amazing what "normal" amounts of t can do for someone who has been without it for many years.

Now I am ready to take it to another level.

    Thanks for all the comments.

First off CLEAN your room.... Yes maybe it's the spare room but????

Calfs look good, I remember when my calfs looked like that without working out...

Keep up the work, it's amazing how fast a couple years flys by and the progress you can make. Keep taking pictures also even if you dont post it, they are a great way to see your progress because the mirror will like to you.

Thanks lovbyts - lmao - I know I need to clean. You are so true about the mirror thing. It lied to me for twenty years and I was a freakin hippo, but never thought I looked that bad in the mirror.

I think you needed to get to that point to wanna change.

People can do two things when they are unhappy with the reflection in the mirror .
Take diet and cardio to task or break all the mirrors .

Yeah I was sort of the same way. The reflection I saw was of me many years ago and I knew what I should look like so I kept looking past the fat.

The picture on my profile page did it for me once I looked at it closely and said. Who is that fat ass??? That was my turning point.

Same thing goes for now though, as you grow you sometimes wont see the growth in the mirror. Dont trust the scale either because as you loose weight you are gaining muscle.

Helluva nice job, Flat! Maybe I missed it, but what has the time frame been for that transformation? Keep up the excellent work! I think you'll be very pleased with the results if you get back to lifting hard and heavy. I'll bet with normal, stable test levels you'll gain some quality muscle mas quickly.

big difference bro. very good work

you say you havent been lifting?

    well you should start

lifting also increases fat loss. metabolism. and of course muscle mass... which more muscle mass means more calories burned to sustain it..

so imagine.... what youll look like then.

keep it up. and kick some ass

    Thanks man, means alot...

no lifting. some ranch work - fences, feeding cattle, hauling hay etc, and picking up my three rug rats who r 9,6 and 5 and can't seem to walk anywhere on there own but sure like riding on dad's shoulders now lol

I cant imagine, but the ass kicking has started.

Put on 6lbs - mostly fluid, but some mass. def need to work on bf some more and chest more pics coming next month. It is so much easier for me to stay on a high pro/very low carb plan (on the road all the time) - just don't know how much that is effecting lean mass increase vs lowering bf.

Hey man - awesome job! you really did great. Dukki is right - you got to start lifting to change your body composition now. I started at 47 so you have a lot a great years ahead of you to make major changes! I was amazed at what i achieved natty 47-49! then I mixed in some gear and have made steady progress. So def go for it - you will really dig the time alone (even if you are in the gym) to do something just for yourself. And do whatever u can to workout in a gym - the energy is way better than with a bunch of iron in the basement or garage!

Props dude! I want to see where you are at in 3 months!!!!

Good job dropping the weight, I am definitely a fan of adding muscle to burn fat and think you would enjoy a high intensity program, full body workout three days a week with cardio on non lifting days. You would notice good strength gains and energy levels while not "getting huge".

Good comment! i forgot to add that i found the most effective cardio for fat burning for me was HIIT. I just changed the speed on the treadmill from walk to run your ass off every 40 seconds - Totally whipped my body! That was pm - am i would just watch the news and walk fast uphill.

Ok no more pics till at least March, but waist now 32 inches, down from a 40. Weight up a little to 210-214. Trying to get to 190-195 and move some more weight around. 25 yrs since I had a tag that said 32 on the back of my 501's.
