First show pre judging pics
Pre-judging pics from my first show. I'm on the left in black trunks. I'm natural, just diet and salt manipulation. Diet was provided by my pops (cgb6810). I was actually cutting for a pling meet I was going to do when he talked me into doing this show. Jumped In 5 weeks ago at about 179-181 and weighed in today at 153.8. I will post more pics and talk a little more about my experience. I am now officially hooked and thinking about my next show. No more pling for this guy. Any criticism would be awesome, You wont hurt my feelings fireguy lol. I'm too tired to proof read this so sorry if there are spelling errors.

in comparison between the two, your color is better, and back blows his away.. only thing your competition has is maybe a little more sweep in the legs, but not as much definition. Nice work bro. Any plans on bulking up for competition in other classes?

^^ agreed . back was not comparable to yours. . but the legs i think he took it out on you.
congrats on entering mate
but to be honest i know nothing about comps at all lol

Nice work, I am sure your dad (one of my favorite members ever) was smiling ear to ear and is extremely proud. A few more years in the gym and I am sure you will be killing it in the middleweight class. Thanks for sharing with us!

Looking good! Its so nice to see a young person do well in this sport and not be in a hurry to dive into a cycle.Much respect.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I will post some more pics tomorrow. I got first in teen and third in open light weight. I was happy with how thick my back looked and thought my conditioning was decent.
Thanks man, I'm done with pling now. I'm gonna spend the rest of the year adding size. I'll compete again next year hopefully at the top of the welterweights. I jumped into this one 5 weeks out and had to sacrifice some muscle to get cut.
Thanks man, it was an awesome experience. I'm already thinking about the next one.
Thanks fireguy it means a lot coming from you. Me and my dad both have a lot of respect for you, your conditioning and dryness are insane. I hope I can get as lean as you for my next show. I now understand why you guys do this, I'm completely addicted now.
Thanks big man
won teen and got third in open lightweight. I'm 5'9" and weighed in at 153.
Thanks man means a lot coming from you. It's something you really cant explain until you do it. Hopefully I can be half your size when I'm 22 haha.

6:00 am:
whey protein shake roughly 50g
8:00 am:
12 egg whites (36g protein)
1/2 cup oats (30g carbs)
10:30-11:
8 oz cod (40g protein)
1 cup cooked brown rice (39g carbs)
1:30-2:
8oz cod (40g protein)
1 cup cooked brown rice (39g carbs)
4:00-4:30
whey protein shake roughly 50g
6:30-7
8 oz chicken breast (60g protein?)
Sweet potato (About 40g of carbs)
9:00
casien protein shake roughly 50g
Roughly 150g carbs a day and about 320-330g protein. My dad just through it together real quick. I know he didn't want me getting to crazy on weighing my food and what not since it was my first show. Next year I'll start at least 10 weeks out and have a better diet plan. This whole show was a real last minute thing. We were extremely busy with work and were out of town for 3 weeks prior to the show.

Not this year. He had a partial tear in his bicep last year and it really discouraged him for a while. Now that I'm getting into it he's been talking a little more about competing again. I know his dream was always to do a show with me so I'm sure he'll get back into it. He's been talking about going back to the masters nationals once he turns 50. Of course he would have to re-qualify but thats never been a problem. We were in pittsburgh last year and thats the show that really messed him up. He tore his bicep a couple weeks before the show. Lately he's just been training me and guys from the gym.

im very impressed. im 19 aswell, 6"3 and weighed in at 186 ibs this morning. bf crept up to 12% though. i would guess ~6% definately sub 7% anyway.
wondering if should do a show this yr or not? my problem is that theres only 2/3 shows 4 guys my standard a year in ireland and ive gone from being anorexic, to being anti-anorexic now :P i will never think im big enough. i would need to cut about 12ibs of fat (assuming i was able to just loose fat) to be competition ready.

Yea..... I've got plans to compete for sure. I've got a little something cooking right now..... and it's going to prevent me from doing a show this year lol. So I decided to try my best to hit 270 at 12% by the end of the year..... and then find a show in spring when i'll have more or a routine established.

Thanks man. I'd say go for it and compete, you wont regret it. It will give you so much drive in the gym.
I'll be doing another show next spring too. My dads already talking about competing next year too. I knew as soon as I started his little break would be up lol. Now I gotta get him back on the forums.
