BF estimates please with Bod Pod results, winner gets a cookie.
bodyweight 228, probably higher this morning, first time last night in months had a shake and onion rings and a burger, and it was good. But honestly I haven't had any sugar otherwise in two months, eating lame healthy food. So please guess, be honest, I don't care. My main focus is strength, Wanting to hit a 405 bench press before I do any more cutting, so thinking I can get it soon, haven't cycled yet and want to do my first one any day now.
Height 5' 8"
first couple are relaxed of course, will put up results after it's been up a while.

27 % would be my guess. Possibly a bit higher.
-
28%
Hard to say, I am coming down from about 27% and it just looks different on different guys.
I see guys weighing same as me and looking fatter. . . . It's all on how your body wants to distribute the fat.

we have a winner. of course it would be austinite.
26.8% is what they are claiming. LBM of 167.345 lbs.
I'd like to use anabolics to help me in my goals, but maybe I need to modify those goals, and how I can use anabolics to reach them. Depending on who I asked regarding what process to take would yield me different paths.

You can get under 20% in less than 2 months bro. My theory is always this... if you're over-weight, WHO CARES if you lose some muscle. You'd lose ALOT more fat than muscle. Go into ketosis and eat all you want. You'll shed that weight in no time
ps... your back will be huge

I did CKD back when I first started deciding to lose weight couple years ago ish. Lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks and over the next couple months only put 5 lbs back on and maintained that weight for a long time before deciding to lose more. I could not possibly train the same way I do on it.
Other question is if I dropped back to 20% would I spring back once I started really eating on a cycle. Or would I be better off cycling then cutting weight, or would I lose every bit of my gains? I really have started to care a lot more about my bodyfat lately, especially when people just think i'm fat and have no idea how much weight i can move nor that I have been training so long, occasionally I will get comments about it that are positive, but it annoys me at work when some 45% bf coworker says I'm going to get fat eating like that, when he is saying it while I am actually losing weight. I am actually surprised I haven't lost more fat on my current diet, as it is extremely restrictive.

I think you should be lower than 20%. But when I cut, I typically just run enough gear to retain muscle. I can get to 15% from any body fat easy. It's getting to 11 and 12 that are always a struggle. I'm at 13.66. I've been at 25%. Didnt take too long to cut. But honestly, gear was the last thing on my mind. All i thought of was cardio and diet. I did very little resistance training.
you're not going to lose ALL gains. Fat loss is much more rapid than muscle loss. You have way more mass than fat.
Whats your cardio routine like?

Honestly I haven't been pushing it as I have been so focused on bringing my lifts up again, because I was struggling to do everything at once. But lately I have ran sprints, HIIT style, little medly with my 530 lb tire, flips with sledge swings in between. Also recently did some steady state. When I got down to 193 I was doing circuit type bodyweight training between weight lifting days in addtion to the tire and sprints. Like squat jumps push ups pull ups no rest going through it 4 times nearly as many reps as possible, never failure. Or assisted pistol squats, dips, ring body weight rows, and even hand stand push ups. I was in awesome cardiovascular shape doing it, but the work load naturally with reduced calories was screwing me up.
I mean its going to be hard, going from reverse band bench with 445 I did today, to a little over a year ago doing 365 on the same exercise. I don't know if i can just forget about lifting heavy and focusing on my main lifts, I would probably not be able to mentally handle it. I think it would be fun to get into competition, but as it is now, I haven't done a single one, and don't know when I will ever be able to. Last one I was going to prep for I cut my hand up and decided to lose some weight instead. I think strongman and highland games would be fun to train for and compete in as well, but the issue of traveling and getting set up to do that is a whole different story, not to mention unlikely I would be competitive, more for hobby unless I could make great progress.
As you can see I'm a little torn here. Almost wonder if as I am nearly my strongest now, it would be great to try to surpass what I can do. Vs cut, then cycle only to get up to where I am now in strength, of course if my body fat was immensely lower and i looked much better and was actually a healthier body composition, it would have it's own merit, but would be towards a bit of a different goal.

Could I combine bulk and cut in one cycle? It would be a longer cycle but say bump up to 600 mg for the bulk, down to 300 for the cut, then back to 200 trt dose. I dunno I'm half tempted to try and come off of trt before it's too late and see if I can improve my free test levels, my total was pretty bad, but not rock bottom like free. Just unsure what to do as I overall feel better on trt, but it's not as huge a difference as I hoped.
-
I would just cut for a while, same exact shit as me really.
You would be looking to hit the low 190's. Then from that cycle and get bigger again. Just more lean. . . . This is too much fat. I don't like being above 15%, fvck this, I am not doing it again, yet it isn't that hard to lose this weight. Dropping from 27% to 15% isn't that hard. But, pulling into the 10-12% starts getting harder and harder.

You say your diet is good, but curious as to what your eating schedule is like? if you are not eating frequently enough that would cause you to store more fat. Even when im bulking I eat every 2-3 hours, its even more important to maintain that when cutting or just trying to loose some weight as eating this offen will keep your metabolism spiked burning the most fat you could through out the day. Anyway, you seem to be on the right track atleast any time your heading toward your goal that is a good thing, keep up the good work and i wish you luck.

yeah, i'm not eating frequently. 3-4 meals. Also thing that sucks is I was low 190s before I started trt, and I felt like I needed to just eat according to my appetite and let things settle. I should have just kept cutting and maintaining my weight, thing is i tried to maintain for several months after getting into the 190s, but i started with thyroid meds and that made me gain 10 lbs fast and felt even weaker so stopped, then trt I gained another 10 lbs in about a week. So maintained after that and it just wasn't working, wasn't making progress towards strength or fatloss until i started eating enough so I wasn't starving then i was making great progress like I would on a bulk with creatine.
Anyways, this is a tough decision for me. Have some blood work I need results from which can effect my decision. And a few other things so maybe I should just start dropping weight now till I am for sure ready to go. I think I'm due for male hormone panel sometime around april, so cycle has to be out of my system by then.

What if I dropped 15 lbs or so over the next 5 weeks and entered the bulk classic?

Recent picture done one week before I do my next bod pod and start bulking.
Anyone have any input on new body fat? Get some guesses before I get the real thing, or maybe should I make a new thread?
Plan is to take a bunch more pictures same day as testing, with multiple poses, so I can gauge my results visually and with bod pod over my bulk.
Guesses please.

Thanks I was shooting for 20% before I bulk. I'm thinking at least 22% or lower, would be great to be 20% or lower though. Find out friday. Of course I'll do more cutting later, I still would love to get close to 10%.

Ok so I have some latest results. Not quite as good as I was hoping. But his other meter he claims is accurate to the bod pod usually, had me 5.5% lower. He was about to teach a class but he said next time to have them do skin fold to compare with bod pod, free of course.
Bod pod results:
Weight 244.73 lbs
Bf 26.1%
LBM 180.86 lbs
So a little over 10 lbs Lbm gained since mid nov. 13.5 lbs since first bod pod. I'm happy with the gains just next time I plan to use a bit different approach. I intend to maintain muscle till after my next blood work. Then it's going to be an off and on approach getting close to 10%. Adjusting it according to my needs and how I feel. Then I'll bulk again with some decent anabolics to go with it yet I have a nutrition plan laid out where it won't be an all out bulk, stay under 15%, or I won't even do a real bulk, I think I've done enough of those in my life to have a base I don't need to get extreme with calories. Only thing that would change that is different goals with strength and meeting those.
Pics are from last weeks bulk comp finale.

Might as well update this. I got up to 260 two weeks after the latest bod pod results for a powerlifting comp, and came off of my blast immediately after. A lot of that was water weight, so I started trying to maintain as much quality weight as I could, and then I started dialing calories back a few weeks ago. I'm down to 232 so far. I have a competition in august, and likely qualify for worlds in november, but the plan is to stick with losing weight till I hit 10%. Unless I at any point am able to fit into hitting some world records, then I would adjust up a little in an attempt to hit it, but I'm pretty sure I won't do another all out attempt at putting on weight again. I've done that enough times over the years. I'm ready to keep the body fat down, I have a lot of size now, and don't think it will be beneficial to have the extra fat. I'm down to 140 mg of test a week as well, doing blood work soon, but think this might be too low based on how I feel.
I don't intend to do bod pod readings until either really far into this, or until I'm pretty sure i'm at 10%. Or if I need extra motivation because I am unsure if I am making right progress. So my journey begins. I'll post pics in the future once I've made some noticeable progress.
