Decided to post pictures here and will eventually start a log once I know I have the time/discipline to keep up with it. I wish I had taken more pictures from different angles when I first started...but honestly I didn't expect I'd keep with it this time and actually enjoy it. Anyhow, here's the important stuff.

    Stats-
    Age:24
    Height: 6'3
    BF%: ??
    Weight: Start-139lbs. Current-162lbs

Great progress brother! Time to eat your way to Mt. Diabeetus IMO! If you're still this lean you could make explosive gains by upping your calories dramatically.

Thanks for saying the progress so far is good! Appreciate it. Not sure how lean I truly am. Would like to get body fat tested somehow.

According to my calculations my TDEE is 2.7k. So I've been hitting 3.1k daily for bulking. You think I should go over that for a lean bulk? I know I'd gain more weight with more food....but wouldn't after a certain point it just be more fat weight and not more muscle?

Are you on cycle? If not I would think to keep doing what you are doing, as you are still making good progress without dumping on the excess body fat. You are likely correct, sure you could increase muscle mass gained, but the return would be minimal compared with the extra fat gained by going too far beyond. 23 lbs in 6 months is actually about a lb a week. That is quite aggressive already. I've done it faster, but then you have to spend more time reducing the body fat, which depending on your goals would dictate what methods you choose to use.

Well it's been 23 lbs in 8 months actually. And no, I am natural still, I've been advised to not mess with testosterone until I'm 190.

1lb every week or two is perfect for where you're at. I personally like dirty bulking (probably because I'm lazy and just want to get as big and as strong as possible for now). I definitely wouldn't say it's optimal, just my preference.

I would say you could steady gain 1.5lb a week that would be good and that will mean you're eating a good amount of food especially at 6'3" that will take a good amount of cals like i said...Most optimal would be clean bulking but at the end of the day if you clean bulk you have to face the fact that once you start cutting it's gonna be like you've basically been eating clean the whole year..

Basically eat clean meals and have good macros fit in what you can and make sure you're getting your protein in and enough calories but if you're really craving you can def eat what you like i would lean towards more rich meals doesn't necesarily have to be clean can probably do that 3-4 times a week and i'd say that's an optimal bulk

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll be posting up more pictures and weights as I go. My meal plan is clean, but delicious and I can add more variety if I get bored.

Forget your body fat level. Just eat. You're making good progress just keep at it.

Do your best to do what you can, should still be able to work upper body, maybe even leg curls and extensions lol. I broke my hand this year, I normally lift at home, but couldn't do anything. Ended up going to a rec center and using the machines a couple times, and then slacked off, wish I had put more effort into maintaining what I could.

Well the injury is long gone, but while it was still hurt I stopped posting here and then forgot to return. I had some crazy stuff happen in life July-October so my workouts were very sparse. Got everything taken care of and have been back to lifting since October 1st.

I am sitting at 13% BF now and 167 lbs. The program I am running currently is CUBE, I am starting week 7 on Monday. Loving the strength gains and it's a very fun program that makes me love going into the gym each day. 4 more weeks of the routine so I have to decide before then if I want to run another 10 weeks of CUBE or switch to a more hypertrophy focused routine instead of PowerLift.

Hope you have all been well.
