Private messages
It says I have one new message, but when I click on it there isnt any new messages. I dont know what that could be.

have you tried logging out and logging back in? maybe your temp file needs to be refreshed.

what exactly is showing up at 2 or 3 when there is really only 1 or 2 ??
check the first image i attached. it shows 10 messages in my box - doesn't specify where (inbox folder, sent folder, custom folder).
now check image 2 - you'll see that all 10 of my messages are in my inbox.
by default the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." in the Miscellaneous Section (below the Submit Message button) is checked. uncheck this if you do not wish to retain a copy of the message sent.
