sorry, didnt know where to post this, was curious tho... I am a new member, and i cant view profiles, or PM or anything... I wanted to know what the procedure for moving up in the ranks was (i.e. number of postings, length of time, ect.)

thats one thing I never could understand... I mean I am on a forum to learn and to make others benefit from whatever I know...besides that why should I care about ranks and whatnot...
no offense meant to anyone, but it really pisses one off to see certain people post with one thing in mind and thats to increase the number of posts they have....as if this number was indicative of anything....again I'm not shooting at anyone...maybe its me ranting coz I still havent had my morning cafeine

but I think people whose focus is that count in the upper right corner of the screen, should refocus and think again...this is a community where people pool in to help and be helped...

    just my 2 cents....cheers

Its for everyone's protection... bottomline. Once you get in and fit in you will be able to get the extra bells and whistles. Trust me, many issues have been squashed by limiting certain rights by simply registering here... like not being able to PM and see profiles. It may suck to you now - since you are still on the other side of the fence... but you'll agree with it as you stick around, contribute and become a senior member yourself.

two key things to keep in mind:

    1. The more posts somebody makes, the better chance they'll go to heaven.
    2. A big ass number of posts is to compensate for shortcomings in one's life.
