Cannot view forum with new ISP!!!!!

I switched to at&t dsl and now I can no longer view the forum!!! I checked with at&t and they said that it could be due to a new IP address and the site is not acceping it! I CAN'T VIEW THE SITE UNLESS I AM AT SCHOOL!!!! Is there anything that can be done????

Sounds like a DNS issue. I would first clear your home PC's DNS cache to make sure that there are no conflicting DNS records between your old ISP and your new ISP.

From a command prompt, type the following:
    C:\ipconfig/flushdns

Try to access the site. If it fails to work, then try it this way from an Internet browser:

    http://70.85.164.5

    Good luck,

I'm in the same boat. First thing I tried was flushing the DNS and it still doesn't work. Going straight to the IP address doesn't work. The only thing that does is piggybacking on my neighbors WiFi or Privoxy.

as usual the folks at at&t have no idea. it has nothing to do with an IP. they are prolly doing domain keyword filtering or something similar. enter in the raw IP as mavsluva suggested, and if that still doesnt work get back to me.

The IP that you guys gave me is for the main site which I can veiw! I cannot view the forum section though, that is the problem! It's weird because I can view every other part of the site excpet for the forum section! I flushed my DNS and no dice there either. I did an rt trace and everthing stops when it reaches theplanet...I assume this is another router that at&t routes to? Anyway, I have no success so far! Thanks

Same exact problem here. I'm checking out for a while, and hopefully this problem can be resolved. Sounds like the problem is with the ISP, not the forum. I honestly don't have the time or inclination to take it up with them, but perhaps one of the other members can.

    Best Regards,

I am having the same problem...one day it opens and poof! it doesnt anymore! I also thought it was with my ISP but from all of youre experiences, I think its the forums server that is out of whack...either the hardware needs to be fixed or updated....the forum's tech support should look into it!
