Welcome.
Welcome Nieta,
Congrats on being a mom and taking the incentive to get back in shape. Now I am not a lady but I can field this question easily. Diet is absolutely the most important thing to cut (although sleep and cardio are also critical), while that may be obvious what is hard is knowing what to eat and when to eat what. To answer all those questions go to the nutritional forum on this site and post up your current diet and I am sure you will find the help you need. Also cardio obviously is very important but one thing you may not be doing that works very well for many is fasted cardio where you do cardio in the morning before eating (particularly carbs) to force the body to metabolize fat stores for energy. Another thing is that the first 15 minutes of a cardio session do very little to burn fat, for the first 15 you get almost all of the energy from glycogen stores ( after 15 minutes they are mostly depleted) as its a lot easier for the body to use than energy taken from breaking down fat. So if you will benefit more by choosing an exercise that you can do for at least 1/2 hour. However if you are only doing cardio on a particular day I would incorporate some heavy resistance exercise ( this does not have to be wieghts, IE, if you are riding a stationary bike this could be some heavy 30 second sprints against strong resistance say) into the routine so that you cause some muscle fatique to help to elevate basal metabolism as much as possible for the hours after the cardio session.
OK thats it for me, look for feedback from members of the Pink team and by all means join the pink forum as it will give you a place to post without having to worry about being hit on etc.
Welcome aboard.
