Welcome Micky H.
I too am a new member and also have these issues, amongst others.... Look forward to reading the feedback u get.
Micky-
How's her diet? I think a big issue for many is to be vague in approach and not really know how many cals one is eating, or what one's TDEE is. If she were to run and do light weights, and at the same time, be 500 cals/day under TDEE, she should see some slow but steady progress in losing body fat.
There are other alternatives. for one is the Atkins diet. I've ran it several times over my life, and always a good result. (Please don't have her snack on cheese and salami though. although will still reduce the weight, not good for all those saturated fats). What I would typically do is run the Atkins for two months, then switch to a South Beach diet. this means i'm reintroducing "smart" (complex) carbs back into the diet.
Several years ago, this is exactly what i did. I shed the weight and the body fat first, then started on the cardio and resistance training.
Just know there are a variety of approaches
Tell her good luck!

Welcome, Micky!

Welcome and good luck.
hi micky! i call it my tummy roll and it is the last for me to lose and the first place for me to gain. diet is most important, cardio and weight training. i don't know much about supplements myself but there is a steriod profile forum that provides a listing and usage. i am a huge proponent of diet so i encourage you to check out the nutritional forum as well!
