    Fng

Hi to everyone! I just joined this site, saw the new male members forum, and decided to introduce myself.

Currently, I live in Tokyo with my extremely beautiful wife, 2-year-old daughter, and 3-month-old son. I'm a university professor and my research interests are applied linguistics, phonology, and learning motivation. I lift weights 5 days per week at Gold's Gym, usually in the mornings before heading off to university.

I have been lifting weights for 21 years, lettered in 3 sports (football, wrestling, and track) in high school, and attended university on a football scholarship. After graduating university, I enlisted in the US Navy. I was a medic attached to a marine CSAR/FAST platoon in Bahrain, with MIO/VBSS capabilities. I have the greatest respect for anyone who served, regardless of their branch or MOS. Following a training accident, I completely ruptured the L5-S1 and herniated the L4-L5 discs in my spine. I spent nearly 18 months undergoing surgery, physical therapy, and having to deal with BOI's as well. After an honorable discharge, I returned to school to complete both my master's and Ph.D. in linguistics. Three years ago, I completed the 11 month Yoshinkan Aikido Tokyo Riot Police/International Instructor's course and obtained my instructor's license. However, aikido isn't very kind to my spine and I've had to cut back on that type of training.

Although I have never used AAS, I have always been interested and personally knew guys on the university football team who used them. More than anything, lack of knowledge kept me from using them. Now that my wife and I are finished having children, I am very interested in beginning a cycle. I've been doing research for the past month or so, primarily as a guest on this site and forum. I'm amazed at the wealth of knowledge and experience on AASs by the senior members and I'm in the process of obtaining the necessary PCT items before gearing up.

AAS-wise, I'm more interested in quality gains over time, rather than bulking up quickly. Presently, I'm about 6' tall, 190 lbs., with a BF at around 8%. The picture is me from a while back. At that time, I was using MuscleTech products (CellTech, NitroTech, Anotesten, Nortesten, Hydroxycut w/ ephedra, etc.) and riding a bicycle to the gym for cardio (40 mins, round trip). I actually experienced a little gyno during the prohormone cycles, but thank God it went away when the cycles were finished - now I understand why they're called "bitch tits." Presently, I'm using NO-Xplode along with ON100% Whey and my diet is really clean (high protein, moderate carbs, low fat). Anyhow, I've basically reached my limits and want to go beyond.

Sorry for the long-winded intro, but just wanted to say more than the usual "Hi." Thanks for having me and I look forward to benefitting from everyone's wealth of knowledge. I hope I can return the favor in the future!

    Cheers!
    CSAR

    Hey there CSAR! Welcome welcome!

you have quite a history! Its unfortunate you suffered spinal injury but I must admire the way you never let it get you down, moved on with life and became an Aikido instructor! That is superb!

I also must commend you on deciding to start AAS later in your life AND after having children, that is a very responsible thing to do! Furthermore, it seems you have done significant reasearch on the site and thats another feather in your cap!

As for your goals, I'm sure you're well aware of most of the compounds that will help you achieve quality LBM only gains without much fat; the usual suspects of course... var, EQ,prop,primo,etc...

Itll be good to have you around!

    cheers

Thanks to everyone for your warm welcomes! I've been rummaging around the forum for the past few days and indeed, IMO this is truly THE BEST site with a lot of good practical advice about AAS. I certainly hope that in partaking of your knowledge I will be able to relate my own experiences down the road. Again, cheers to all!!!

You ain't missing nothing, but if you ever want to...
    1) experience racism,
    2) have people constantly staring at you,
    3) get pushed around by old ladies on the trains,
    4) be surrounded by second hand smoke, or
    5) have children point at you and say "gai-jin" on a daily basis, then...
Tokyo's a good place to start!!

Don't get me wrong, Tokyo (and Japan by extension) has it's good and bad points like most other cities. Unfortunately, if you're not Japanese then you'll probably experience more bad than good.
