    Question new from NOLA

not actually new, i actually have been skimming through here for a little over a year now and it is definate motivation. just to let everyone know after katrina came and ravaged my home i was forced to go live with some family away from everything i was used to so i kinda became reclusive in that time and before i knew it i was wei***ong in at an awesome 350 lbs!!! of course i didnt realise it until i came home and was forced to sleep on a FEMA couch and my back began hurting, which forced me to a chiropractor to try and get things resolved... well like most doctors they want you to weigh in and i was floored. since then finished my house moved in bought a Marcy SM 4000 and got strict on my diet and have lost about 90 lbs since september 23, 2006.

i am now 6' 257 lbs still dieting, but not working out 5 days a week like i had been for about 7 month(with a week off here and there). i no longer have partners to spot me so i havent been pushing like i used to in fear of being stuck under the weights.

anywho, i was just wondering if anyone had any diet and workout tips? i am strongly considering a 6 week muscle building workout. my previous workouts have basically gone something like
    Monday-Chest 3-5 exercises, core 2 exercises
    Tuesday-Arms 5 exercises, 30 minutes bike riding
    Wednesday-Back 5 Exercises, core 2 exercises
    Thursday-Shoulders 4 exercises, 30 minutes bike riding
    Friday-Legs 4 exercises, core 3 exercises
    Saturday-90 minute-120 minute bike ride
*all workouts were light weight high reps, usually well into fatigue. the bike rides never tire me out though and i had gone several times for 3-4 hours on the levees in new orleans...

would it be too soo in weight loss to worry about serious muscle building???

    STATS
    27 years old
    6'
257 lbs as of this writing
not sure on bf%, but im sure it is up there
my goal is fairly simple, i would like to get between 200-215 lbs before i concentrate solely on bulking into the 230 lb neighborhood.... any questions or advice is appreciated

    Welcome.
My house is a quarter mile from the beach in Gpt. This whole area got blasted by Katrina as well. I'm still making repairs almost 2 years later. Glad you are making the best of a bad situation.
