Welcome. Take a look at the bulking diets in the diet section and compare it to what you've been eating.

that meal plan there seems pretty good. sucks i have tried eating every way under the sun the past 2-3 years. heaviest i got is 170 which is only 5 lbs over what i was 2-3 years ago, but now i'm at 165 again. i've tried eating healthy and right, i've tried fast food/unhealthy, etc etc. nothing has worked as of yet. the biggest complaint about my body is my legs. they are VERY undersized. they are long and skinny (chicken legs, etc.) my upper body is so so, shoulders are decent sized, chest is slowly but surely developing, arms are a bit small, etc.

When you say you have tried eating healthy, what would be an example? What did you eat, how many grams protein per day, etc. and for how long did you try it before you decided it wasn't working for you?

basically with money tight, i eat 3 meals a day......certainly nothing like what is stated on the diet page. i have ate, ate, ate, just to put on weight then worry about leaning out, etc. but it didn't work. i train mixed martial arts and fight amatuer so it's hard to keep weight on when burning so many calories, etc.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but if you want to put on some serious size you have to eat like you see on the bulking forums. Gear would be a total waste of money, it sounds like you aren't eating enough to support your current size, much less to grow. At your age your natural testosterone levels would be plenty to get big, but you have to give your body the fuel it needs or you'll never make it to your goals.

i don't wanna be HUGE, i just wanna be around 180-185 and look decent sized. i wouldn't say i'm undersized, my legs certainly are, but when i see guys in the gym *some are noticably on supplements other than creatine/protein, etc* a certain jealousy factor/self image problem comes up

yea, i've heard that, it sucks when money is tight. i'm in college right now, so getting tons of groceries and plowing through them is tough to do. do you have any links, etc. that you think would be good, diet/food wise to put on about 10-15 lbs

I just did a quick search and most of the returns were from other boards so I don't know if it's cool to post them here, so just go to Yahoo or Google and enter "budget bulking diet" and browse through the matches. I found one right off the bat that was how to bulk on a college students budget. Good luck bro.

Try to eat something every couple hours, condition yourself to stick to that. It's not easy but it's worth the results. Never wait till you're hungry to eat, just keep shoveling it in. I actually set my alarm to remind me to eat, the people at work think I'm a little obsessive (maybe I am) but it's worth it.

i went out and got 6 cans of tuna, bag of brown rice, wheat bread, plain oatmeal, 5 or 6 cans of veggies, protein powder, and i think that's almost it. all i can afford right now. i just got done eating three tuna and cheese sandwhiches, and a protein shake. will probably boil some of the rice in a couple hours. burghsteel, who is that in your av?

For starters I wouldn't ask that guy anything else
Give it a few months to see how you progress then ask us, the answer will depend on what gains you've made in that time.

newbie from da burgh here as well

    what gym you guys use?

I've been reading a lot lately, and in the same boat as PTOWN. Started lifting 2 years ago when I was 135lb (5-9) and now Im 160. Been trying to eat right, proteins, and all that. No tuna, but lots of eggs, turkey, and chicken. I also try to pig out after workouts.
A buddy I work out with at the gym started on dbol 2 weeks ago, and he's probably put on a good 10lb already. (water and fat.. maybe?) but, I told him to hook me up, and the gear is in the mail. However, now after reading so much, not sure if I should start my first cycle on just dbol. He's about 5-10, 180 doing 50mg/day for 12 weeks... and thats what I ordered.

Yes, I'm eating right (yes, I know I could be eating more) but want to give this a try... 420 10mg tabs ...
