Just thought id introduce myself to the board, im a new member but have been lurking and learning for about the last year now and am looking to implement a new diet and training program for 2008.
I am 24 years old, 6'3'', 262lbs and would guess about 18%bf.
Been active most of my life, football, boxing and surfing etc, but lost my way over the last 3-4 years due to drink/partying to excess (you know the story) and have ended up an angry individual, so nows the time for change!
I have completley changed my diet to all good, fresh food, but it hasnt been easy and felt like absolute crap for a good month while detoxifying and need to make it a lifestyle change rather than just a "diet". As far as drinking goes i've all but cut it out, because it just fuels the volcano which is great but has left a gap in my social activities, which i am now filling with night classes to get a better job and Muay Thai martial arts classes to work on body and mind.
Ive made a promising start and i am pleased to get out of the mundane work/drink/work/drink/drink schedule i have been hammering so long but wont pretend its been as easy as i put it down and still isnt, but some words of encouragement for anyone here in similar "life changing" situations, PERSEVERE AND YOU WILL REAP THE REWARDS, wether its body,mind or both you are trying to sculpt, push forward and take it one step at a time.
