Hey, Im mike and i'm from Michigan i've been weightlifting for a couple years but nothing to serious. Mostly due to the fact that sports would infringe on the time i had. I've read up on the different stickies and decided that i need to start with a good workout plan and diet.
Im 6 foot 170 pounds and have a d1 football scholarship. So i need to emphasize on a diet/workout program that will help me gain size while maintaining/gaining my speed.
Starting with my diet. I understand the necessity to eat minimal 2X body weight in protein and spread out through 7-8 times daily. Also the necessity for a goot pw mean and ppw meal. So basically i need to find a good shake at a reasonable price. Does anybody have any suggestions?
For my workout. I read the section of the various workouts posted by Pinnacle. They all seem like good workouts but not enough emphasis on speed. Researching i found that some plyometrics workouts are great for this, but then again i dont know any. Also i was wondering if hypertrophy is a good idea to base my workouts on? If anyone could help me design a good workout program it would be greatly appreciated.
