I've been a lurker for a while now on this forum, and I have to say this is by far one of the best on the internet. I'm not just saying that without previous experience with other forums.
I wanted to give to everyone a little about myself.....I'm 39 and have been lifting for about 20 years. Never getting my diet down seriously until about 2 years ago. I hired a extremely well known trainer to help me with diet, and "vitamins", etc. etc. I have since lost my baby fat, and gained about 30 pounds of muscle. I've always wanted to compete so May of this year I tried a fairly large local show and placed 2nd. I'm in my "off season" right now, still watching my diet, etc., and still putting on quality muscle. I'm 5'8" and 230 right now with about 9% bodyfat. I'm really hoping the next time I compete (around April to May-ish) that I can come in around the 200 pound mark. I should be able to do some good damage and my goal is to someday compete at the national level.
