Thread: I have gained 15 pounds.

    I have gained 15 pounds.

I'm new to the site as of two weeks ago.
I didnt know where to start, until I bumped into a section, I think it was called how to bulk up and sample diet.

So I printed out the info and placed it in a folder, which I look at every day.

Before I started the Diet, I weighed 120 pounds. My weight could vary between 115 to 120 depending on what I ate and things of that nature.

I am 36, 5"7 and I am small boned. I have been small all my life. I have tried to gain weight by workingout many times but It has never worked. I would just give up and say screw it. Ive been to the doctors and all they say is work out. I mean what a load of crap! I can hear them saying the same thing to an over-weight person aswell.

Well at this Juncture of my life I am very serious. So I started the diet, I eat about 6 to may 7 meals per day. I don't follow the diet to the teeth, but I have gotten some very good results. Within a two week time period I have gained 15 pounds.

Outside of the weight gain, I believe it's due to the diet, my headaches are going. It seems like I have better temperment and focus. If I would have known just eating 6 to 7 times a day would make me feel better, I would have been eating like this.

The one part I have been following to the teeth is the Breakfast. Except I only eat six egg whites but I eat a cup of Oatmeal. This Monday will be a full two weeks and I am so excited. I just received a 5 gal order of Whey Protien, and I am excersising.

Thank you guys so much for puting great info out here. I am really excited about transforming my body. Thank you a million!

Welcome. 15lbs in 2 weeks is not ideal for lean mass gain (there will be some fat), however since you are so light, you probably don't really care that much. When you stop gaining, or feel you are gaining too much fat, post your diet in the diet forum and we can help you tweak it a little to keep gaining. Great job, keep it up!

Welcome and it's nice to hear your story, i was in the same position as you. My diet was crap am 6ft and only weighed 133, am up to 171 now.
I also put loads of weight on real quick when i first started, don't worry about fat it will be the fact that your body was starved to some degree. This will slow down over time as you hit your natty weight.

Gaining 7-8 lbs a week is not idea. When working out hard with a good diet, 1-2 lbs a week is idea for gains (with min fat gain).
