Fat guy wanting to be built!

I am a 39 dude who has a very large frame. I weigh about 400lbs and am actually quite healthy. I have been quite strong my whole life and have lifted weights off and on since I was like 16. Most people put me at like 300lbs cause I am not a typical lazy sloppy fat guy. I want to lose weight and really tone up and build some muscle so I can look good for my wife and also look good with no shirt on for the first time in my life. Anyways... I have a friend who hangs out with competitive bodybuilders and he suggested I try winstrol for cutting weight and building muscle. He suggested about 1ml every 4 days and he said it would help a lot. I am willing to eat right and work out but get dishearted with the lack of results that I see now, so I give up. Can anyone give me some advice on anything from diet to side effects or benefits. Oh and I dont want to lose the use of my best friend! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I hate to tell you but your friend is wrong. My man diet and being dedicated to it along with a training plan will get you where you want to be. Go to the diet forum and read the stickies and watch the vids under the title so you want to learn how to diet, then organize a meal plan and post it up for critique also list your stats and goals. Do not do what you friend suggested! because to be honest he is way off.

Discpline is the key here, homeboy...not steroids. You have a LONG and HARD road ahead of you. It took me a year of hitting the gym twice a day to drop 100 lbs, I went from about 310 to 200. It feels good to not be a fat slob any more. Now I'm strong as shit and just plain awesome.

Your life is going to suck for a long time, but I promise you it's worth it. Once you achieve your goal, the thought of ever becoming fat again will disgust you and make you physically ill. Cardio and dieting need to become your best friends.

I suggest watching Arnold Schwarzenegger films for motivation. Commando is a good one.

Definitely agree with what the others are saying. The Winny and all that stuff isn't going anywhere, just get the whole diet thing dialed in and get yourself to where you need to be naturally. BTW ... Welcome aboard!

it will probably be of benefit for you to set-up some short term goals for yourself to help get you to your long range goals but there is no short cut

Thanks for all the response. I will do my best to stay on top and motivated. Does anybody know of any good weight loss pills to take that don't cause many side effects or elevated blood pressure.
