    new guy need some tips

first of all let me start by saying that i do go to the gym work out and i also make sure i get my cardio in. however ever i havent really watched what i ate and now i regret it. any ways im 5'10 and 194 lbs, the max weight for my height is 186 so yes i am 8 lbs overweight. any ways ive been reading and reading and came come to a good decision about where i should start of. wold appreciate it if some one could help me out with some hits as to what would be the best way to start if i am looking to slim down and gain muscle. anything would be great thanks.

Welcome bro - you'll realize quickly how much more important diet is than training... good luck in getting the results you want.
