Hello all, I am completely new here and really pretty new to body building as a whole. Right now I am 31 years old and feel as if I am at a crossroad in my life. I used to work out in my upper teens and early 20's and then a bad car accident ended that. I basically fell out of it and just never really got back into it except for 6 months here and 6 months there. Last year following a relationship gone bad, I decided to take a medication that had been previously prescribed for me a year earlier for help sleeping and to help with anxiety. Even though it had been prescribed at a different time in my life, at the time I figured that given the state I was in (loss of 20 lbs, not sleeping, anxiety) that I had nothing to lose I decided to take the med. Anyway, long story made short, it helped me enormously. The medication is actually prescribed for people with bi-polar disorder, and well given the fact that it seems to keep me level, it has become apparent to me that I in fact must be bi-polar.
Along with dealing with my problem and starting on this new medication, as I already said my quality of life was coming together as I was eating again, sleeping the whole night through and my mind was at ease for the first time in months. Such relief! Now comes the shit part of all of this. I am 5-8, and right now weigh about 200 lbs. When I started taking the medication I was at the lowest I had been since high school weighing only 159, which to me was a major signal that something was wrong. However since being on the med, I have gained about 40 lbs and it was not until about a month ago that I decided to do something about it.
I am now visiting the gym daily throughout the week every morning doing just cardio. I burn roughly 500-600 calories a day on the bike in about 35 minutes. I am simply just trying to get myself back into shape. I want to loose around 25 lbs, and plan on starting to lift weights daily after my cardio workout. I am not trying to gain mass, but simply just trying to tone up my upper body, arms, chest, abdomen etc.
Now for the crazy part. I tend to do things sometimes with out giving much thought to them and that is why I am here writing on this forum. I have read a little about a steroid called Winstrol and had found out, that it is used for cutting cycles after bulking up. I also read that it can help you to burn 80% more fat than if you were not on the steroid so I found a rather cheap source and decided to make the purchase. I have a lot of research to do however before I decide to go forward and take the stuff.
My plan is this. Even though I have not been working out for years and don't have this incredibly solid body, I am looking to try to shred some fat, get a bit lean, and tighten up my upper body. Basically from what I have read, Winstrol is used for cutting cycles, and am planning on continuing to do a solid cardio routine every weekday, and in the not to distant future start back to the weights. I guess what I am trying to figure out here is this. Will the Winstrol help me loose weight and give me any type of advantage over simply just doing my normal cardio routine?
I know that it is not magic and you have got to work to see results but I absolutely do plan on doing this, as I have been working hard each morning for the last 1 to 2 months. I have read about the side effects of the stuff and yes it scares me a little however if it becomes really bad, or to much to handle then I don't have to continue with the cycle.
At this point I am just trying to find out some opinions on how long the cycle should be, and what the dosage for each day should be as well. I would like to know how they make you feel mentally and physically. The pills I bought are called "British Dragon". I bought 100 50 mg tablets and am just waiting for them to arrive. I would like to hear some of your input though and I invite any of your constructive criticisms. I don't know any dudes that take any steroids, and only know a handful of guys that are into body building so I really don't have anywhere to go to get answers to my questions. Please feel free to tell me what you think. Any positive input is well appreciated.
