    Hi guys,

Just a quick intro and maybe you more experienced folks can point me in the right direction? I ran a couple of short courses of steroids, one last August for 8 weeks (sustanon 250 at 750-1000 per week) and then another course last January for approximately 5 weeks (test e, 750 a week) I'll kick my own ass for failing to run any kind of pct and needless to say I've paid for it since! Here's the bloods some 10 months after I stopped the steroids

    Lh 10 (1-7)
    Fsh 7.1 (1.7 - 12)
    Testosterone 677
    Shbg 44 (11-78)
    Prolactin 600 (120-200)

I'm 29 years old and my boys have gone from producing adequate sperm count of 40 million per ml to just 7 million. Sex drive on the floor and erections weak. My first thought was primary failure but wouldn't my test be lower? Free test is certainly quite low due to elevated shbg. Prolactin is elevated but not high enough to diagnose prolactinemia according to doc. Lh and fsh are raised but I assume that primary is diagnosed by high lh, fsh and low testosterone. To be honest I'm lost with it all, i know my hormones are all out of whack but nobody seems to have any answers as to whether I'm primary or whether I just have a hormone imbalance that needs addressing. I will of course re post this in the appropriate area if you guys can point me in the right direction? I'm really looking to lean on your experience in this area as the docs simply don't have a clue. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Welcome stretch. You can post it in the Q & A forum to start. A normal Labcorp LH range is 1.7 - 8.6 going from memory so your good there. FSH is fine as well. Total T is not to bad either. Your Free is not posted. Yes, shbg will reduce Free T. Remedy? Start taking Vit D3 at maybe 5K IU per day. Vit D will lower shbg and I guarantee your low anyway, everybody is. Here's one study of many: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20050857. Also look into Stinging Nettle Root and avenocosides.

Your issue is your prolactin level. That's out of hand and your doc is off base IMHO. He's guessing! You need to request an MRI to be sure. You also need to be on Cabergoline to lower your level. I'd bet the minimum dosage would work at possibly .25mg twice per week. Your elevated prolactin is whats effecting your FSH/sperm levels, libido and everthing else you mentioned.

Talk to your doc again or find another. They work for you.

Welcome to the forum Stretch! Let us know how it goes. Feel free to paste your post over to the Q & A section if you choose for more responses. You can paste my response over as well if you see fit.

Thank you kelkel for the advice and knowledgable reply! I'll repost all this in the q and a section to gather thoughts but you sound right on the money. My only concern is the lh being 10 which is slightly high but if prolactin is inhibiting test secretion then lh is likely to rise so it all makes sense. Thanks again for the advice and guidance

Estrogen is something the docs haven't done. I've been referred to an endo who may be more proactive about doing that. Any results I get, I'll post them up

Stretch in the TRT forum there's a sticky called Finding a TRT Doc. In it is an example of blood work that may help you out a bit.
