In need of info about injuries

    hi

me and my mate recntly started lifting, we started on the bench and now have gone into legs and everything else. all was good i think i over did it had a knee pain so i stopped for a few weeks still waiting to get back into it, we also just started curling and well i overtrained on that one aswell i need to slow down, anyways a result of the curls i have a pain in my forearm which is related to my pinkie finger when i release the bar though doesnt hurt as much if i release slowly. what i would like to know is how would i heal this faster? would seroids be the go or a testosterone booster or time to heal im anxious to start training again and need some advice. thanks in advance

Welcome to the board. Steriods might make things worse at this point. Take time to heal and in the meantime learn proper exercise technique so you avoid issues in the future.

    Welcome to the board mate!

For most of us, weight lifting is a hobby. I'm defining hobby to mean, in my case, I have no intention to ever get on stage and compete. And since weightlifting is something i have done more or less most of my life, and plan on doing this until I'm Jack Lalanne's age at death, then I try to do things in the long term that make sense. so the advise i have for you is to avoid steroids. Do not think abouut them, you are not ready, not even close, as evidenced by your immediate injury, amongst other things.

the good news is that you have come to the right place. There actually is something you can take, but before you do, research, research, research! Now go here and do some reading:
    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...ht=roman+tb500

Because you seem to injure easy, you need to start off with lighter weights, and maybe focus on higher reps. things in the 20 rep range. This is not something I ordinarily recommend, but at this rep range, you WILL be working on strengthening your tendons. So do this for a few months, just to get them ready. And do not think you need to rep to failure every time either. Not now. You can start doing that after a month or so. But for now, you need to toughen up those tendons.

So maybe now would be a good time to give us your stats and your goals

    AGE (25, right?)
    height
    weight
    Body fat%
is this your first time lifting?

make sure to stroll on over to our nutrition section. Most blokes coming here don't know a wit about nutrition as it relates to weightlifting. And it sounds like you might need some help on your routines, so check out our exercise section too. Remember it is always best to ignore going for the heavy weight, and instead, focus on proper form. If you have any doubts as to the correct way to do a routine, google your routine in question and watch it on youtube. there are a million video clips out there showing you proper form for a routine.

Let me know if you need any other help?
    Thanks for joining!

Power ball didn't help too much just had 2 weeks off and concentrated on leg work now the pain has gone and I'm slowly upping the weight for bicep curls if I go back into it too fast I will hurt myself again, I haven't finished recovering but easing back into arm work and taking it easy for a few more weeks I will beat this thanks for the advice
