43 And Getting Younger
Just wanted to say good afternoon to everyone, this is my first post and first day as a member; I guess I'm no longer a virgin...LOL I turn 44 this march and I have decided to take another step further in bettering myself physically for my family. I weighed 247lbs. in high school and now I balance the scales at 185lbs. My goal is too firm up and get cut, and reach a weight of 165lbs with w body fat of 10% min. Thanks and good luck to all!!

Welcome! 51y/o here. 10%?!? It'll never happen (unless you quit work and hire a full-time trainer). Best to set a sensible goal -- something actually achievable. Your goals made me think of those out-of-shape lunks I see running down the street in total agony. Three runs this week, two the next, then back to the couch. The ones that achieve goals take small steps and have fun doing it. No pressure!

Thanks 61er I agree I need to set more reasonable goals and to achieve those first, two steps forward one step back to say the least. I'm starting a journal of my diet, workout scedule and progress to start out. Going to set my first goal as to just lose 10lbs and change my diet. I will post a pics here soon with weight, bf. Thankyou again for keeping grounded.
