    Brand new

    I've been reading in the forums here and this place (and its members) I'd consider a wealth of information. I believe I'll be able to find the answers to most all of my questions here. I am a 40yr old male with no real gym experience. All I know is I feel horrible and currently weigh 254 lbs. 5'9" with a belly. I have depression and low libido. I have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and heart disease history in my family. I just had BW and the single test my MD did returned a total testosterone lvl of 344. According to my female nurse practitioner, I'm normal...... I'm not convinced. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Hello and welcome to the board. You are in the low end of normal according to some ranges. Find a new doctor if you want to go the TRT route. If all your bw comes back with no problems, you should be able to start on TRT. Post up your BW results if you can.

    Yeah you are on the low end of the 'normal' scale but way below the top end. 190 ng/dl LDL is considered 'normal' too but I'm not happy with that. I don't put much stock in the range numbers for tests beyond telling me whether I have a problem or not and if so, how severe?

    If one of the medical staff at my doctor's office just said 'youre normal' and expected that to be the end of the conversation I'd be finding a new doctor.
