Hi Guys,
It's been a while since being on here feels like a lifetime, from Australia went from being a muscular and lean 120kg at 183cm to a flabby dad at 125kg had a wake up call and trimmed off 40kg of fat to be 85kilos and comfortable the need to be the most muscular is no longer in the goal book being healthy is far more important. Took about 18 months to get to this point and I completely changed the way I was training and adopted more of a gymnast calisthenics routine so I could be more athletic than muscle bound, squats are still the devil but I found muscle ups and handstand push-ups to really be enjoyable and keep me injury free...up until my recent accident whereby I broke my collarbone and dislocated my hip...ouch.
I've got a longish recovery and cannot get back in the gym for another 3 months, I'm expecting lose much of my strength and certain achievements like one arm pull ups may take quite some time to get back.
Wondering if anyone has had similar injuries and layoffs and how long it took to get back to the pre-injury performance with/without help.
