    Hello Everyone!!

    Hi everybody,
I am a brand new member to the site, I am 29 years old 5'10" 170lbs.
Recently I decided to change my lifestyle and lose some weight. In February 2013 I was 217lbs and not a good 217 I was a fatty, with the help of an excellent personal trainer, strict diet and exercise plan I was able to lose 50 lbs in just 3 months.
I have been steadily working out ever since but have still managed to keep some stubborn belly fat that just won't disappear, I don't necessarily want a shredded 6 pack but would love a nice flat stomach, also I have had a hard time putting on lean mass any suggestions from the experienced members would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

You are obviously heading in the right direction so keep doing what you are doing. Keep doing cardio to lose the belly, and by working out the more muscle you gain will also help you lose fat at a faster ratio. Muscle loves and needs protein so make sure you are eating enough of it to help gain muscle. It also cant just be a bunch of protein shakes all day. You need real protein from meats. Congrats on your change and keep going in the right direction and welcome to the forum!

Belly fat is always the most stubborn to leave the body. Especially when you are close to starting to see your abs. Your body doesn't want to get rid of it. Just stay the course and meal plan. 5 meals a day is the way to go spread out throughout the day. Gotta keep that metabolism working. Good luck bud.

    Congrats on the transformation!
    I agree with what's above . . . . .
Keep up with the cardio & strength training, 5 meals a day.
You did a great job with the first 50lbs.!
The last few lbs. is always the hardest.

    Good Luck!
