    Does my smoking prevent my muscle growth

    good day may i ask if smoking can affect muscle growth thanks in advance

    Im not sure about muscle growth, but it certainly will decrease your appetite making it difficult to eat like a moose; which will certainly inhibit muscle growth and retention.

    It also means your oxygen transport is less than optimal. Decreased pulmonary function plus vasoconstriction isn't conducive to muscular development imo. I've seen some monstrous people smoking though. I guess it also depends on how much you smoke.

    welcome aye not good for you as you know i used to smoke years ago stoped for10yrs i would never ever smoke again and as fit said ^^^^

    Welcome and good luck bro- I quit smoking a few months ago, a pack a day for bout 4 years. Tough as hell but you can do it. Hit the gym extra hard and maybe sauna and do something nice for yourself once clean a few days. I switched over to chewing tobacco for a while and that helped but I don't recommend that cause it's not healthy. But not as bad as cigarettes IMO.
