I am new to the forum but I am hoping I can educate myself and have a little fun too.
I have very little experience and like many others who started here I want to do it effectively and safely. In the late 1990s, my early 20s I tried an injectable for a month and a half twice with a month off in between. I am not sure what I was taking (STUPID!) I wasn’t taking anything else with it. The results were that I got a LOT stronger but gained noticeable water weight and had side-effects ranging from mild (acne) to what caused me to not take them again lack of being able to control emotions/anger.
Now I am 40 years old, healthy and fit. I walk daily and run, ride bicycles, etc 3x a week and started lifting again (3-4xs a week) mostly body-weight and Cross-Fit style workouts 3 months ago to get my body accustom to working out in preparation for some sport specific strength training. I will continue with the Cross-Fit, plyometric and body-weight style workouts because I think it is the best way to achieve my goals. I am 5’6” and am an “off-season” weight of 160-165 but will slim down to a leaner 150 in the spring.
