New Memeber looking for advice...

Hey guys and gals…
I’m new here and I have a few questions. I have ZERO knowledge of what’s what so I don't want to jump to any conclusion of what's good for me or what's not. First I would like to give a little bit of a background so the best advice can be given with the information I present.
I’m 43 year old male, 185lbs at 5’8” who has always been and still am active. I play a competitive sport (which is what leads me here) and I’m looking for an edge. Really its endurance and strength I’m look for help with.
I don’t lift heavy any longer because of the damage I caused my tendons and joints over the years that have lead to surgeries and lots of pain management. So it’s a good thing I’m not looking for size or to compete on the stage. I ruined that years ago. I do take a GNC vitamin pack daily, also I eat well.
What would be a product I could purchase that would help me maintain strength, endurance, muscle tone, that is safe for a guy my age who is healthy and wants to push myself harder, most especially during competitive games.
