Hello all, I'm new here. I'm going to get my levels tested soon becuase I believe I would be a candidate for TRT. I'm 31 years old...is that considered old enough for TRT? Or would most Dr shy away becuase I'm not at least in my mid 30's. This seems like a awesome forum with tons of information!

I think it will depend more on your test levels than your age. But, I was prescribed it at 36 because that is about when any guy can be considered for it. I would suggest going to a trt doc though and dont expect your normal doc to give it to you. Sometimes they do, but a trt specialist will be more inclined to prescribe something they have more knowledge about. I could be wrong, but that is my 2 cents. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Can either one of you help me? From my understanding I needed 50 posts to be able to PM members. I'm over 50 posts and still not able to check notifications or send PM's. Been researching this and I've seen where some people say it requires 100 posts? Can anyone confirm this?

welcome. I agree with Oki. TRT is still dangerous grounds for many general practitioners. they just don't want to prescribe it. so it's absolutely better to go to a men's health clinic. They specialize in that area and truly understand the growing number of cases in younger men these days. they are here to help and they make their living off of return customers. That means there is a very good chance they would write your script. however, it's gonna depend on your blood work.
    best of luck.
