Used to lift regularly during my 20s with some cycles under my belt, then worked overseas in various locations for 15 years and only paid the occasional visit to the gyms. Have returned to Europe with some stability in my life and miss being in shape. Dad bod was creeping up on me, and I decided last year to get back into the swing of it. The last few months of last year I started lifting and dieting again, trying to get diet under control and getting my body used to lifting weights again. Am now hitting the gym 5 times a week, and focusing on a stable diet with prepping all food.
I'm 44, 21.5% BF, 99kg, 194cm (6'4" / 218lbs. Two shocking observations - strength is all gone (I could do 14 complete hang-ups at age 19, now I can't even do 1 complete), and metabolism has crashed from sitting on my butt in the office every day (maintenance calories approx 2500)
