The interesting thing is that everyone likes to discuss how limited the earth's natural resources are, and at the same time very little is known in regard to how the earth produces such things as oil. Sure they know pressure....blah....organic decomposition....blah, but they don't know how it works in practicallity. No one even knows how, many wells seem to be refilling at a particular rate that is domintated by differential equations.

if it is true it would be both good and bad news. Bad because it would stop renewable fuel research, good because well I dont want to run out to soon

Velkar there are some theories that oil is formed deep in the earth mantel and not the standard decomposition of plants. Its not a very accepted theory but as far as I know it hasnt been disproven either.

Aramco. Yes big company, ARabianAMericanCOmpany. Now it's called Saudi Aramco.
Anyways funny how price is hitting all time highs while known reserves havent changed much in last 5-10 years. Recently in the gulf of Mexico. Iran supplies are sent eastwards yet at the slightest threat and prices jump because of the Iranian "threat". It's called price gouging. Even seen predatory pricing back 5-7 years ago.
