Scary shit thinking about N Korea with ICBMS and nukes. It will get a harsh rebuke from us. Nothing more.

not good. Its a shame that we have to live in a world where idiot politicians are making decisions like this. blowing up a bit of your own planet to show how powerful you are. Seems a little like cutting off ones nose to spite the face.

I agree. NK's is just utilizing it's best weapon... Threats.
Who it should recieve a staunch rebuke from is China.
Kind of silly that we have so many troops in Iraq, while Osama is in Afghanistan, and North Korean's are actively building Nuclear Weapons...
One of the things I can understand is why we continue to sell America upriver in terms of production to the Chinese, while the Chinese do absolutely nothing to aid the United States. Meanwhile, the Chinese are undertaking the largest Military expansion outside of the cold war in decades.... and we're busy selling them the technology for cute things... like TRIDENT NUCLEAR SUBMARINES....
It seems like a sad case of twisted priorities and media misrepresentation.... that fueled a situation where we now have overextended military obligations in a country (Iraq) while the world TRULY does become more dangerous, for the United States. (and not from terrorists, which were never even in Iraq, who have the ability to only carry-out menial and isolated strikes) While countries aka China, fuel a military expansion that will in short time be able to militarily compete with the United States...
What a waste of 2.1 billion a week.
PS.. I'm posting a thread about US/Chinese Military... check it out.

Ths sad thing is that the Hermit kindom is pretty much a quasi-failed state. Mr Kim Jong Il really has the priorities of the state all wrong. Poverty is rampant, economy is in shambles and continues to spend exorbitant amounts on arms build up. The irony is that no one has the interest of conquering a failed state and I see no or not much merit of having nukes. Is he going to deter anyone? No. Does he have the balls to attack anyone? No.......well unless he is beyond demented.
