Right now swedish electricity prices are disastrously high. Swedish industries are suffering alot because of this and many are planning to leave the country.

But as a last resport the big industries in sweden is furnishing a deal to import alot of cheap electricity from Russia.

But offcourse the swedish environmentalists are against this, because they fear this will mean russia wont decommision 2 old chernobyl modell powerplants outside of st petersburg.

Well DUH. Those same ****s wont allow sweden to build our own nuclear capacity.

So obviously they either support bulding more fossile fuel plants in sweden(and I seriously doubt that) or they are willing to sacrifice swedish industry to satisfy there own ****ing insanity.

my provincial party decided to go green and they want to impose a ban on cars in downtown Montreal, in some parts no cars at all, and the rest you will have to pay to get in.

Like usual this is pushed by treehugging hippies with no life that lives in town, and go to work by feet in two minutes that doesnt pay shit anyway.

Technicaly yes the power companies are state run since the state is the majority stock holder in all the big power companies. They used to be the sole owner but in the 90's it got opened up.

But there is a law against even proposing to build new nuclear power plants right now and there used to be a law against even doing a cost analysis comparing nuclear power to other kinds of power. Thats how far the greens influences reached over here.
