According to the Iranian media Monday, Iranian President Mahoud Ahmadinejad declared that Israel was destined to ‘disappearance and destruction’ at a council meeting with Iranian ministers.

“The western powers created the Zionist regime in order to expand their control of the area. This regime massacres Palestinians everyday, but since this regime is against nature, we will soon witness its disappearance and destruction,” Ahmadinejad said. (AFP)

Seems like he has started to realy seriously dig his own grave after his first fumbling steps.

As I have said...this guy is much more scary than Kimmyboy in N. Korea. He is a true believer. Its hard to tell if his rantings are more for internal consumption or not. But it may not matter at some point. I mean if I had a neighbor that constantly threatened to kill me, and had the means and ability to attempt it...and if the police (see: world community) would not, or could not remove the threat against me and mine...well I guess I would just do it myself, and I wouldn't wait for him to make the first move....

There is still the fact that Ahmadinejad has no controll of the armed forces, so unless the ayatholla is equaly stupid Ahmadinejad is just talking bullshit no matter how much he belives.

3) Israel retaliates in spades
4) The world decries Israel's atrocities
5) Muslim fanatics around the world join forces to condemn Israel in the eyes of the world. Iran continues its firebran rhetoric.
6) The world leashes Israel and calls for peace
7) Cease Fire
8) Iran uses the opportunity of dying Muslims to justify nuclear advancement
9) Repeat


This cycle will repeat until the US can be drawn into the fray to nut up and either fully back Israel or let them fight on their own. Lots of
