Do you personally want the Iraq plan President Bush announced last week to succeed?
Fox News has released a poll that proves once again that Democrats either don’t want us to win in Iraq, or at the very least “don’t know” if they do, which is just as bad:
Do you personally want the Iraq plan President Bush announced last week to succeed?
Overall: 63% Yes 22% No 15% Don’t Know
Democrats: 51% Yes 34% No 15% Don’t Know
Republicans: 79% Yes 11% No 10% Don’t Know
Independents: 63% Yes 19% No 17% Don’t Know

Other than an irrational illogical hatred of Bush, why would anybody say no?
I mean why wouldnt anybody not want a successful outcome for both the US and Iraq.

Sorry that is horseshit....no way that is true.
Sorry to say that US news is utter crap and fox news makes stuff up, as do other news channels but fox is the worst... whenever friends of mine get back from the US one thing they're bound to mention is fox news, its like watching a comedy show

What's all the pissing and moaning about. The majority of all political parties want it to succeed. As a bleeding heart liberal (as many of you Bush cock swallowers call us), anything that will get the troops home faster and safer will make the public happy.

there is no way that almost the majority of democrats want Iraq to fail. end of story, if you really believe that then YOU are the one who is blinded. This is fox news making stuff up.
and i'm not blinded, over here we get real news. Not your "around the world in 60 seconds" type crap that tells you nothing, then gets all excited about some ridiculously small story and blows it out of proportion and turns it into the lead story for 6 months (like that scott peterson story or whatever it was) all the while ignoring whats really going on in the rest of the world/country...US news is garbage

I'm pretty sure the pole is about the increase of 20,000 troops succeeding. Not the war itself. Nobody would vote for an unsuccessfull war. And if I personally meet someone who would, I would take personal pleasure in stomping thier skull into a pretty puddle on the street. Everyone wants the war to succeed and be over. Myself especially. i'm about sick of that damn place. But not everyone wants to see more troops there risking thier lives. Does anyone have a direct link to the article or anything so I can get a better grasp on the subject?

Yea by the sound of the wording I believe its referring to the "bush PLAN" to increase troop numbers by 20,000. I can understand people being against that. Doesn't neccessarily make them unpatriotic.

It says "Bush's plan last week" Bush didn't plan on trying to win the war last week, last week bush put forth a plan to send 20 thousand more troops. Thats what they're gettin at here.

Yes it does.
If I said "Do you want Bush's plan to succeed" most people would believe it meant Bush's plan succeed as in Bush being successful in getting an extra 20,000 troops to Iraq.
Not Bush's war in Iraq being successful.
You know it logan, stop pretending you really believe 34% of Democrats want Iraq to fail, we both know that isn't true.

It used to be that politics stopped at the waters edge when it came to the defense of our country. No true anymore with liberals. I dont doubt for one minute that many want to see us fail in Iraq. If we had a united country things would go much much easier for our troops. You dont see them closing their mouths for that reason..do you?

The producer of Fox News is Roger Ailes, for those of you who dont know who is is...He is the former media stategist for Nixon, Reagan, Bush Sr. That is a clear and obvious agenda, and anyone who bases their opinion on Fox's "reporting" should not be allowed to vote in this country. It is propaganda in every sense of the word.
MSNBC (the most liberal of the 3) is owned by the parent compnay GE...GE is one of the US gov'ts largest defense contractors, and share directors with lockheed, the biggest contractor of them all. Lynne Cheney is the primary share holder and a director of Lockheed, so in a way lynne cheney has a indirect influence into MSNBCs "reporting"...
The owners of all of these news channels are set to profit off war, and have an agreement with their shareholders not to do anything against their interest. A responsible CEO, would probably leave out some facts and views that are not favorable to there agenda, would they not?
Show me an article where BBC has been accused of a conflict of interest or influence by any PAC...I looked and couln't find one. Yes their staff is mulit-cultural, and yes they preach tolerance and understanding, but they always tell both sides of the story. And yes, the view of muslims, is just as legitimate as those in the west...
I agree that BBC is biased against Israel, as am I...I argue that the truth is biased against Israel, and the US MSM protecting them by leaving out facts, context, etc is not "balance", its propaganda...
BBC reports everything CNN,MSBC,FOX reports plus more, not the other way around...Its what the other channels leave out that make them propaganda...
If you want me to elaborate more on the issue, I can...Last edited by juicedOUTbrain; 01-23-2007 at 01:14 PM.
