Hersh is just an investigative journalist and has been writing articles in The New Yorker for some time.

yes, that's what journalism should be. very well-developed, yet easy to read, and as objective as one could hope to be. i heard this interview of him talking about the mossad's supposed source on iranian weapons the other day, and was saying how the mossad and executive branch weren't sharing intelligence with the CIA, and basically trying to get a green light without having to prove their source. very scary.
