VIENNA, Austria (AP) -- Austrian authorities said Wednesday they have uncovered a major international child pornography ring involving more than 2,360 suspects from 77 countries, including hundreds in the United States, who paid to view videos depicting young children being sexually abused.

Federal police called the case "a strike against child pornography unprecedented in Austrian criminal history."

Interior Minister Guenther Platter said the FBI was investigating about 600 of the suspects in the United States. German authorities were following leads on another 400 people, France was looking into about 100 others, and at least 23 suspects were Austrians, he said.

Platter said videos downloaded from the Internet and seized by Austria's Federal Criminal Investigations Bureau included images that showed "the worst kind of child sexual abuse."

I hope we can all agree this is just sick..

My opinion ... they should all be forcibly castrated and paraded in public. I don't know if you've seen it when you've been here on business, but Dateline has an ongoing on-camera investigation on cyber-stalking of very young teens by older men and capturing them on camera and broadcasting their faces on TV with police waiting to arrest them. One was a minister, a rabbi, doctor's, professionals, the whole gamut of sleaze.

Yeah, one of them was from Seattle and they interviewed him tonight on local news, an east Indian physician. He was all contrite, crying, apologetic and begging to be deported. Yeah Right, contrite and apologetic looking at 10 years in prison, not because of what he would have done to a young girl if he had had the chance. Now we'll see how they like prison with not so nice big guys who don't like child molesters/rapists.

In cases like this our civilised world has to soft laws. We should ship em to russia or some other place that is willing to look the other way while a couple of big ****s work them over with crowbars and brass knuckles

It's not ther fault, they probably came from a bad home life, they don't need to be incarcerated, they need love and rehabilitation.........
