Honestly its really nothing to worry about. Normally heathy inviduals will easily fight off west nile. The only people that really need to worry are the really old and really young.

Really young...That is surely something to worry about if you have small children.

Check out this link.....has some useful info:
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/westnile/#case
Interesting points- less than one percent of people of people infected with the virus develop severe illness. Although if you are amongst that 1% you have a 3-15% chance of dying (these tend to be old people).

We got that shit all around in SC. They sent us emails at school that if we find a dead bird to call DHEC to dispose of it. Who the fuck picks up dead birds?
I'm sure I"ll get West Nile cuz we have a billion mequitos and they all seem to be biting me. Wish me luck.

We've had some dead birds found in Winnipeg with West Nile. From what I understand the mosquitoes bite the infected birds and then in turn give it to people.
Your odds of winning the lottery are better though. If you get bit by a mosquito that's infected your odds of getting infected yourself are still pretty low.
Less than 1% of people that get infected with the West Nile virus actually get sick.
I'm not concerned myself. That's even when you consider that Winnipeg has almost as many mosquitoes as Africa.

We have it too, I think everyone in the US is prone to it. We have had several deaths from it, personally I think I had it last week, I felt like crap flu symptomes weak, and having a hard time shaking it.
