    172 Militants Planning Attack on Oil Fields Arrested in Saudi Arabia
    Friday, April 27, 2007




    RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi police arrested 172 Islamic militants who were on the verge of carrying out a series of terror attacks on oil facilities, military zones and public figures, the Interior Ministry said Friday. A spokesman said all that remained in the plot "was to set the zero hour."

    An Interior ministry statement said police seized weapons and more than 20 million riyals ($5.33 million) in cash, from seven armed cells.

    Also in the arabic newspapers they have reported that in this year alone 2007 there have been more assaults on the religeous police (vice and vertue) when compared to 2004+2005+2006 combined!! and we havent even reached the middle of the year, these assaults include shootings/stabbings/violent beatings from civilians who were bothered or aggravated by these virtue police!!
    I am amazed by this but it seems the saudis are starting to fight the religeous oppression and the government is fighting the terror, soon these islamic extremist will realize they arent even wanted in saudi!!!
