Long story short (as those articles put a bit of a spin on the case), a Serbian student beat a US citizen into a coma and fled back to Serbia. The US is now pressuring Serbia to bring this guy back to the US for a trial, something against Serbian law. The irony is, were he an American citizen and he commited the crime in Serbia and fled back to the US, he would be protected from extradition from similiar laws in the US.
Should the guy be punished for his crimes? Of course he should. Will he? Doubtful..
The thing I have to believe is, if the shoe was on the other foot, America would not give their man up for extradition either.
