Yes, it is our tax dollars, but a contract is a contract, if GM, Ford, and Chrysler can squash their contracts like the gov. is trying to do to these bonus receiver's , then maybe the big three will get out of debt. How many Union workers in this forum alone work for the big three auto makers, that this would screw? Also what about the military contractors brcause they are paid by our tax dollars too, does it mean that they can cancel them and quit paying them and it would be ok. Have you heard of the Bill of Attainder, do you want this to happen to you cause once this happens it may happen to you next. Now not all the bonus receivers got big bucks some got 1000-20,000 just for doing their job that was stated in their contract. The government should have told them to re negotiate these contracts before they were handed out, oh wait never mind no one had time to read the bill, and Obama's crew forced this in here or so says Dodd which if I throw powerful people under the bus it better be true, because if I get massacred in the media and public I need a damn good reason. Any way it sucks this happened, we need to get the money back but not this way, I am sure some people have been counting on these bonuses to pay their bills, I worked a job that made 30,000 and my bonuses could make me another 20,000. Some of these people werent even given 2000 bucks. Now the millionaires, we need to to get that money back but it still isnt constitutional, and I guarantee that a few good lawyers could bring a lawsuit against, the government members who are pushing this along with anyone else who signs this bill. Also this is a problem brought on by Obama and his wonderful crew, why do they keep talking about making more bailouts, if they really wanted to help they could have given every American 1 million dollars and still came out cheaper then all these bailouts that dont help the average tax payer but it will make each one of us pay more in our life. I am pissed and I could go on for ever, I will say this much though with this administration's blatant disregard for the constitution makes me think the next time I get pulled over, or have to pay tax, or anything else to do with the law then I am not going to abide by it cause if they can do what they want then so should we, everyone of us should be able to do what we want, if I go rob a bank then screw off cause I am doing what I want to pay my bills even though I squandered my money away, and lived way beyond my means. But this is basically what they are doing they screwed up, period and they are going to run over whoever and destroy whatever laws we have to fix their mistake. This is not to mention all the lies involved just with this situation and the lies in the past month. But guess what you wanted change and this is what you get.

Agreed but he isn't a hypocrite, because he said that, he said socialist pigs, not anything about republicans or democrats. They are all Socialist pigs the dems and the rep. who let it through. I am truly pissed at them all this is the time for the republicans to step up and stand for the people not for themselves I am disgusted with them all. I hate that they give in to their own selfish reasons and their wants to get re-elected, it utterly pisses me off I will never vote for them and I hope that people start to see what our government is a bunch of selfish socialist pigs. It is time for no more Bailouts for big companies, no more earmarks period, this mean you too Obama! Any way I am pissed now and this doesnt help, you know what is going on in our governemnt right now. Also lets call for an ousting of the people who let this go through and pass, everyone who was involved in writing this bill and passing it Democrats and republicans alike, we have a new election coming in 2010 so lets see what happens and dont forget we as Americans still have a voice and can still stand up against what we feel is truly wrong. And please the people who got the bonuses are not the enemy they do not deserve the punishment for the most part, so please dont allow your friends or yourselves to threaten them or demean them. For the most part they are good people and have had enough death threats they dont need any more.
